November 18, 2011 at 3:29 am #862953I’ll be honest. I’d totally buy that lion lol. But yeah, it’s the eyes that kind of throw it off. I hope the bidding stays low, I’ll try and snag him (not counting on it).

WINDSTONE “DIABLO #1” FLEDGLING DRAGON FIGURINE; FANTASY STATUE TEST PAINTNovember 19, 2011 at 5:39 am #863081?!?!?!? Holy smokes! I can’t get over how much that Kiwi Kirin went for!!! (That’s incredible for Windstone though! 🙂 )
November 19, 2011 at 5:58 am #863082Good grief! I’ll second that. :O I don’t remember another Ki-rin going that high. I know what PS will be painting if she hasn’t already. Look for a Mamma and Baby Kiwi to match that good as gold Male Ki-rin. 😉
November 19, 2011 at 7:41 am #863084That’s what happens when two deep-pocketed buyers make last second bids against each other…
Yeah, but the others may not go as high, depending on if the winner has “scared off” the other bidder…
November 19, 2011 at 10:08 am #863086Both of the top two bidders for this Kiwi love Kirins and have some really beautiful pieces. Both put in one bid in the last few seconds, so neither was scaring off any other bidder.
Deep pockets? Some people bid on and win many items; others bid rarely. They may not want to pay their max price, but they are willing to pay if it is necessary to ensure winning that special piece.
November 19, 2011 at 3:27 pm #863092I love that spooky bat . He’s amazing . I’d love one like him in the store .
November 19, 2011 at 5:51 pm #863111To be honest, IF I collected the animals, I’d so go for that lion. 👿
He should have been released to eBay right before Halloween.
November 19, 2011 at 6:00 pm #863115Due to space constraints, Ive become much pickier myself. Im not content to keep something in a box. I have to display it. I have about seven barrister bookcases chock full of windstones, and some very special pieces on my bedroom dresser. So recently I have not gone after something unless I REALLY love it. Blue Ice Emp? HAD to have it. ‘Burgundy Autumn Leaf’? Eh, the color didnt translate well from the male to the emp, so I didnt even try.
