Err, I’m guessing Scenceable is referring to the Rocky Mountain horse as that is similar to the flaxen liver chestnut but with more white. I don’t know where the silver dapple name came from, maybe it was mislabled at some point?
She is referring to the Rocky Mountain horse; it’s the Silver Dapple gene that gives that appearance (darker bodies, very dilute mane/tail). Very common in that breed.
The color is called silver dapple, but I don’t sure why. They sometimes have dapples, and sometimes don’t. We called the mother uni a Rocky Mountain for that reason, because silver dapple would be confusing or even misleading to regular people.
