That’s great, Romeo. I’m glad something is going right for you.

No, Santa probably won’t bring her a vacuum… Santa (Mom and Dad) is bringing her new glasses, new clothes, and a plane ticket…. I don’t know what my sister got her but, I got her the pool party cats print and framed it.

Since she came back she’s been very depressed. She’s not eating, and she’s sleeping more than normal. We’re trying to get her in to see a doctor. But, her old one won’t take her anymore and there’s no doctors around here taking new patients. I guess the next step will be taking her to Ontario Works and getting her on welfare or maybe if she’s lucky disability (she can’t work, so welfare isn’t right for her)

She honestly needs to be checked into the hospital. There she can get the help she needs.

But, my purring cat and scratching dog are missing. It was delivered to the post office on Monday…. They no longer have the package…. :puke: I’m trying really hard to not freak out. I shouldn’t have bought them in the first place. I guess, if they aren’t found tonight (the guy at the post office said he would call me if he found it) I wasn’t supposed to have them.

At least I’m assuming that was what was delivered. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

Ouch. Have you had them do a physical search of the building? I’ve had packages go missing too, (like 5 PYO’s, and a BG coiled mum, and, and ….. and…… etc). It almost always ends up in the manager forcing a physical search because they didn’t scan it in properly, or the put it on the wrong shelf.

Oh, he looked, and looked. The people behind me were getting really annoyed. I hope it does turn up. You know you get too many packages if they know you by name. ๐Ÿ˜ณ I’ll go on Saturday and try again.

I just don’t want it to get sent back….. Or, I really hope that it wasn’t accidentally given to someone else It is busy….. Here’s the interesting part, the guy knows it came in. He remembers it. So where is it?

So far this has been my week ๐Ÿ™„

Glad your sister’s back. I would get her into the hospital if I were you. They would have to take her against her will but it’s better than her hurting herself.

I’m not sure how tracking on usps orders work but I’ll have my mom look into it tomorrow.

I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~

Aw, you don’t have to bug your Mom about it. I’m sure the package is in the postal outlet. (It’s just finding it)

I wish we could force her into the hospital. We can’t. She has to decide to do it herself, or they will just release her. Unless, she is a threat to herself or someone else. (Even when she is violent she’s released the next morning….. She is quite the actress when she wants to be)

I’m glad your sister is safely home again, but I’m sorry about the missing Windstones.

              Update….

On my birthday or March 1st. Carrie was upset, you could just see it. She was roaming around the house huffing. Well, before Gloria (oldest sister) and I left Carrie blew up at Gloria. Screaming at her to get out. So, as we were leaving we told mom to go sit down in the living room and just stay away from Carrie. Dad was driving us home, I got home fed the cats then called mom. Well, she sounded breathless. After we left Carrie went on a rampage. She went storming through the house and ran downstairs where her rabbit is being kept. She was cursing and screaming. Mom called down asking her to calm down and asking her what’s wrong. Well, Carrie came running up the stairs and pushed mom down. Then stormed back into the computer room just screaming and yelling all the way.

Mom, somehow got up and called the cops. (I heard that she had a big bruise covering her butt and legs. Carrie pushed her really hard.) As soon as the cops came of course little miss actress calms right down and starts acting like a little deer. That’s when Dad got home. The cops escorted Carrie and Dad to the hospital. This time they didn’t release her. (Thank goodness)

Actually, she thought that everyone was fake and that we were trying to steal her house and stuff. So in her mind she didn’t push her mom, she pushed a thief. I’m just glad she didn’t have a knife or some kind of weapon.

She’s now been transferred to London where they are better equipped to deal with her. She’s either been misdiagnosed the last time or somehow over the years her diagnoses has changed. She’s not bi-polar she’s schizophrenic. She’s basically been on a natural high the last few years, they are worried about when she finally comes down from her high.

They luckily will be putting her on disability, and she’s finally getting the help she needs. Problem is she isn’t talking to the doctor. Hopefully she’ll start talking soon.

Nothing I’ve ever dealt with, but *hugs* anyway ๐Ÿ™‚ Hopefully everything turns out all right with her and she starts talking with the doctors and such and actually getting the help she needs.

I’m glad they’ve finally diagnosed her right! My mother is a psychiatric nurse, so I’ve heard stories. Hopefully your sister will be able to get on the true road to being well now ๐Ÿ™‚ Good luck to her, you, and your family!

My mother-in-law had a psychotic episode a bit like your sister’s; she was sure everything she heard was real. Now she medicated, but it was a very trying time for the family, as no one had ever had to deal with a mental illness before.

It’s really tough. I hope your sister comes through.

Big hugs! (And I hope your ankle gets better soon).

Wow, what a story. I’m glad she’ll be getting the help she needs…
Question from last year: Did you ever get the purring cat and scratching dog from Windstone? Did the post office find them? (No doubt this has been answered somewhere else, but I just reread the whole page and wondered.)

Sorry to hear about this RD. Is there any particular reason they didn’t bring her to CAMH in Toronto?? I think it’s one of the best organizations around. And yes, I was an in patient for a while. Years ago now, but they really did help. Website if you want to check them out.
