Ooooh, so many pretty ones, I love the lichen looking ones! But I’m going to hold out on this round since I want to wait and see if the Koi-rins batch will happen or if a batch of baby unis appear!
That makes two of us. I’ve got my fingers crossed for some natural unicorn babies and EXTRA crossed for kirin babies later this year. These are really stunning, though, and I do look forward to seeing more close-up shots of them after people have purchased.
Oh yes, I do hope for some natural baby unis as well! I’ve got fingers and toes crossed for those GB Kirins!

I love it when everyone gets so excited over grab bags! I remember when I first joined almost two years ago, I saw the mysterious grab bag posts and was so intrigued I had to know more and had to get it on the fun. The grab bags were the main reason I started stalking this site daily but now I find so many other cool things to read about as well and have made new friends so it’s nice!
Looking for rainbow or pink & teal grab bags!
I’m generally not a big fan of the Uni Colts, but after seeing the Fantasy GB Colts in progress on the WS Facebook pics, there were several that I really liked – I may need to try and snag one this time! The more colorful Fantasy style designs are more appealing to me with the Unicorn and Poad sculpts. 🙂
How many were in the last GB Uni Colt batch?
Would love to perhaps try for GB Baby Kirins too! The Baby Kirin is my favorite of the Production Kirin pieces, and the Koi and eBay ones recently have been really cool!

*** Come visit me on deviantArt at http://ela-hara.deviantart.comI think there were about 75-110 colts in this batch (according to my HIGHLY scientific method of trying to count the ones on the cart and wheel and adding in the 10 more Melody said she painted).
There is absolutely NO plan at present to do a grab bag baby kirin (sorry folks! These have been painted in so many colors for ebay, it would be almost impossible to avoid overlap.)
There _MAY_ be a grab bag standing kirin, but this involves:
1.) Figuring out how to fix the pad situation
2.) Getting a good stencil made so that the fur/scales are easy to paint separatelyUntil the first item happens, the second one definitely won’t. This is going to be a ways out you guys! 🙂

-Then potentially a grab bag Melody mentioned to me when I was there, but that hasn’t been discussed in this thread I don’t think
-Then maybe young poadsAfter that, no idea, but you guys probably have AT LEAST 3-4 months before you would need to worry about kirins. Unis (young or baby), poads, and more dragons are all probably more likely to happen in the next couple of months than kirins. 🙂

Based on the photo in Melody’s Blog, there were about 150 in the last batch of GB colts [(22 x 6) + 20].

I want grab bag kirins too! 🙂 But they shouldn’t stop anyone from buying colts – there will be plenty of rest time in between. I just don’t want anyone to skip colts for kirins and then be disappointed at how long they take!!! 🙂

This is a good point. I don’t think I’m in a running for the colts though. They look amazing, but I’m just not sure I like them as much as I like babies… well, baby anything, haha. |D Something about the babies, man. HOWEVER knowing that it will be at *least* 3-4 months before we can hope to see kirin does put some other things in perspective, so this is good to know. Thank you.
But, just for clarification, when you say the “standing” ones, you’re not referring to the PYO pose one? It’s the standing baby/colt on FB, yes? (For some reason, I talk about the sitting babies and the standing child as though they are interchangeable though they are clearly not.)

Yes, okay. 🙂 I will start referring to these as the standing… colts? Babies? (I don’t think they’re actually full adult sized, based on how big they are in a person’s hand) so as to help reduce any confusion.

I don’t know that Melody has assigned them a gender… I forgot to check! 🙂 They are pretty tiny, definitely not full grown! (That was probably my hand … :))
Anything with “standing” in the name will probably help avoid confusion! The PYO is usually said to be rearing or begging (or you can just call it the PYO kirin – most people will know from that :))
I’m fishing for an update…
I’ve been hoarding as much lunch money as I’ve been able to save for the Fantasy GB Colts … are they close? Will there be a Parade like the other recent Grab Bags?Eeeeeeee … I’m trying hard to keep my excitement level manageable! 😀

I think there are 130 gb colts -but everyone who counts them gets a different number, and some pieces get removed for various reasons… so nobody knows until they get boxed.
