*sigh* I may have to postpone my saving up for a Secret Keeper and save up for one of these instead…
Same here. These are so gorgeous.

When I was in school, I painted and drew gryphons a lot. My art teacher used to tell me that they were pretty, but I’d never land a job or career by painting griffins all the time..
Fate has a sense of humor!
Now THAT is two fingers up at your teacher! You are so lucky to have job such as this Nam.
That picture is a real insight and I am sure we will all stay tuned.I Would love an Old Warrior one day.. any Old Warrior!
May 19, 2007 at 10:09 am #578214I really hope they sell well for you Nam!

Hahah! It’s okay, though I appreciate the offer. I only ‘indulge’ very occasionally. 😉 I tend to use those bottles as watering ‘cans’ to water my numerous plants, that’s why they’re there. I’m weird. 😉

Oh, good, I was afraid we had driven you to drink! I use an old milk bottle or water bottle to water my poor (doomed) plants so I don’t think you’re weird. I say doomed because I have a black thumb when it comes to plants – although I have managed to keep one plant going for about 4 years. I think it’s more that the plant is part cat and has 9 lives than anything I’ve done! 😆
May 21, 2007 at 8:06 pm #578217Whimper, Nam I do still think I need one of these so badly and then you post more pics. I’m going to go cry!! Hopefully we can make the trip out east next month and back using as little money as possible, and there’s no more good deals on retired/hard to find pieces that I can discover. Please don’t let them sell until at least July!!! And God willing and the Gas (price) don’t rise( or Car break down) I’ll be hard at Evilbay for one of these, and the families!! My Male agrees, but then again so far he’s the one with the bigger pieces!!
PS if you want the Alcohol I’ll try and get my hands on some real Newfie Screech, from my mom in Labrador to send you!!
May 21, 2007 at 8:11 pm #578218I’m late re-entering this conversation, but Nam, thanks for the picture. I would like to see the two little dragons done… But first I’m debating with myself whether I should goo after a labradorite griffin…

The two little dragons? Ohhh you mean the PYOs? The blue one is for DDVM and the brown one is mine. 🙂

May 21, 2007 at 8:18 pm #578221Ha, when I saw that picture on LJ I also thought painting the same things over and over drove you to drink, too. XD
Maybe since nobody in my immediate family drinks it’s easy for me to joke about it, but as my father says- BOOZE: It’s what’s for dinner.
They do remind me of the gyrfalcons you’d find up north. Very very pretty. I love that icy blue on white. 😀
(“Cloning Jennifer Miller so we can have more labradorite griffins? BRILLIANT!!!!” I luv those commercials…)

No, I cannot. I can do trades though (I’ve traded with others in the past). Ddvm traded with me for this dragon. 🙂

Those were the last of my blue eyes! I got them out to count them. Eek! Only 3… and one is misshapen and won’t fit into a griffin eye-socket. Susie is sent me more. 😉
