You tease so much Nambroth. Hell I would meet the highest bid of the one’s auctioned off if I could get one reserved long enough for me to make the money. But alas I am left to drool in your wake of awsomeness. The Labradorites are too gorgeous for a comment worthy of their stature. You have my immense gratitude of sharing so much in the means of video and pictures.

My art: featherdust.comHere’s a sneak peek at the Momma Labradorite Griffin! She’s not done yet. She still needs a lot of detailing on her chest and wings. And antiquing. And other stuff, like her blue flashes.
She is intentionally a little more brownish grey than the males. I’m trying to make them subtly sexually dimorphic as Melody suggested. Since the male’s colors were loosely based upon both harpy eagles and mallard ducks, so too will the female’s.

well some day i will have enough to bid on one. it is really cool to see these little progress shots. I really love how these will mimic the natural colorations between males and females that occur. that is completely awesome.
it must be exciting to watch these come together as you paint them.
