Congrats Amstaff! I know EXACTLY how you feel. It is nice having a new car that spares you some worries that an old car gives you. Insurance may go up…and you may have payments…but you also have some peace of mind. Though it stinks not having the extra spare money.
Yup, all so true ! At work a lot of my co-workers have Honda Civics also, but most of them have 2010’s… I have the newest model, a 2012 ! LOL ! Usually Im the one with the OLDEST car, not the newest, lol ! So this is a totally new experience for me, LOL! I can now use a USB drive to play my music off of… in my old car I had to burn CD’s, until my CD player broke that is and all I had was the radio….. And I can even upload pics to use as my wallpaper on my dash! How cool is that !? LOL! Ok ok, sorry, Im a bit giddy with all this new technology to play with, lol !
I’m a little jealous about your cool new technology, but I know what you mean too! A couple years ago a got a ‘new’ used car for me also – replaced my 1996 Caravan with a 2009 Subaru Forester under 17,000 miles. I have Great piece of mind now! 🙂

Well, Harriat (our kitty) knocked over an entire pitcher of iced chai latte all over the keyboard of the lenovo lemon while I was attempting to find an internet connection. I left the room for a minute and she was up on the table making trouble… naughty kitty…
So you may be asking yourself, “why is is this in the Heck Ya! thread anyways”?
Well, originally the kickstarter campaign was cause Lenovo refused to replace the almost $2000 lemon we got from them after contacting them multiple times and multiple times of sending it in for repairs and our main computer was pretty much fried. So, we had a dead/dying computer with a motherboard full of shorts and a lemon, neither working worth a darn except to check email and look at facebook and the forum. Even uploading pics and connecting to wifi has been super sketchy on both of em. Most days the lemon wouldn’t even show available internet connections and we can’t plug any type of cards or usb drives into the dying one without getting them completely wiped. No connections, means bo printer or scanner, so no prints can be made. I cant upload an high-res files to the dying one so no files to be worked with either. Ouch.
To the point…Laundry2011 got the accidental damage waiver thingy and so we made a claim for it. Not only are they replacing it, They are upgrading us to the newest model since they don’t make ours anymore. To top that, it has a better graphics card, FHD Display, awesome speakers and an SSD hard drive among a handful of other awesome bits!. I suppose the annoyance of putting up with it was worth it after all. The new computer costs almost $500 more than the first one…..We are still gonna do another kickstarter to upgrade the printer in the next few weeks, but we’ll have a much, much lower goal and access to most of our stuff again, so it should run much better!

DRAGONS: Male CoyoteWell, my car started making a grinding noise yesterday, and Pep Boys said they thought it was the transmission. They don’t do transmission work, so I took it to AAMCO expecting a $1500-4000 unexpected expense. They called me this morning to tell me I just had two broken mounts causing the engine to vibrate, making the noise. My transmission is fine! So, it’s only going to be $550. I still don’t love the idea of spending a chunk of money on my car but I am SO RELIEVED it’s going to be so much less than I was anticipating! Which means I don’t HAVE to sell some of my Windstones, and I can afford a fantasy Ki-rin if I manage to get one in my cart. Whew!

I haven’t had it in my heart to get another pet since we lost my sweet Kas, but this fellow melted me the moment I looked into his big brown eyes.
Manfred Mann or Manny for short is a lab-St. Bernard mix, just now hitting 14 months old. We found him through a local place and just fell in love. He’s a big boy, already 96lbs, though the vet thinks he will top out around 125. You couldn’t ask for a sweeter temperament, he already adores our little blind Siamese Ellie.
And just because! Sleeping Manny. Yep he is named after the band.
What a handsome dog! He’s got such a personable face. You’re lucky to find him and he’s lucky too!

My big boy maxed out at 127 lbs, and he’ll sit on your lap if you’ll let him. Have fun with Manny!! He looks like a gentle sweetheart! (mind you…he’s sleeping, lol!)
