Man, they love hearing about the furry fandom. We’ve had several people from the fandom over for dinner, from furry lifestylers to furry fans and of course furry artists (like Kenket, Thornwolf, and Goldenwolf), and each person has a different story to tell about what it is and why they are it.

I think that would be THE ULTIMATE….dinner with Melody and Chessie and Vantid and anyone else there.
I’d kinda like to meet…..the husband/dad (does he have a name? ❓) I don’t recall knowing anything about him, other than he exists. Although I’d be too excited to eat. I’d just sit there, grinning like a fool, listening LOL One day I’ll make it out of Texas, and hopefully it will include a stop in Hollywood to visit the factory. You know, I had a dream (no joke) that the green fledge was made to be, and there was a picture posted on the website and he was immediately avaliable for sale, like Melody didn’t say anything about him at all until he was ready for sale. And in the dream, my first thought was “Ohhhh boy. Wait till DM sees this!” ^.^

I think thats John…No? Anyone know? I hope not, cuz he emails me, like, 50 times a day. Melody would be furious…
November 28, 2006 at 8:22 am #511900I think John Alberti is the husband. In fact, I’m pretty sure. After all, Chessie’s last name is Alberti. Yeah, he must be the husband. In Copyright 101 he says so. I think.

Ski…Yeah, as far as I know its him. I have never asked outright, but I thought I remembered Miss Melody mention it somewhere.
November 28, 2006 at 9:40 am #511903Yup, John is the husband, and he is the one who does the violins and things.
November 28, 2006 at 10:19 am #511904It amuses me that you are referring to him as “the husband” and not “her husband” 😆
November 28, 2006 at 1:14 pm #511905Poor guy. I’m sure he’s used to it by now, though.

(Not that most people I meet think furry is ick, but most furries I meet think most people think furry is ick, if that makes any sense. Paranoia, whee!)
Yeah.. it helps that she’s met several before though, I think! 🙂
I’ve been to a con (AC) and, well.. there are a lot of scary people out there. A lot. XD But any fandom has its scary crowd, and not all of them are bad. I have several friends that identify with the furry group and they are nice, normal* people. 🙂
*normal as in not scary! XD I don’t really know anyone that is ‘normal’- what IS normal, anyhow??
agreed 🙂
furries pro and contra are like every community only I experience the differences betweend good and uhm… annoying more extreme than in any other cmmunity/fandom etc I have ever heard/been/seen. I have many furry friends that I love and adore very much and just as many where its better to be… blind and stick your fingers in your ear and sing loudly.
But the others are very kind and talented and I enjoy meeting them. And painting for them. Been to five Cons so far and am part of the Siwss Furry ORGA, but I do not have a fursona (I’m always asked every time and once when a person asked me the gadzillioned time I said tapeworm)
/end furry stuffglad you had a nice time there 🙂 I envy you
I’d die to see the factory….
but my next ocean crossing is not in the next two years. Thankyouschool.November 28, 2006 at 1:30 pm #511907I bet that the CSI episode ‘fur and lothing in Las Vegas” didnt help matters, made me wonder.

Hahaha! I remember that one.
November 28, 2006 at 1:39 pm #511909Hey Ski- when you get back topside (USA) we must travel to CA together and raid, I mean visit, the factory! We can even make frozen tag along! I’m sure there would be a lot of arm twisting involved but he’d come with us, we’d make sure of it!

Oh, I will def hit (up) the factory before too long! I think I will visit in 2008, when I return to the states 😀
November 28, 2006 at 4:57 pm #511911Don’t remember if I actualy posted this, but Mel and Co. thought it would be fun to have EVERYONE over for a PYO party at the factory, kinda like a slumber party……There was silence for about 15 seconds while she let that sink in, then was the first to speak up…”No, no…..That’s just too scary. Everyone…Here…with all the windstones? I’d have to cavity search every last one of them before they left!” 😯 I just nodded and smiled at that point.
