LOOOL I actually took a second look at the first picture to see if there was a frog but didn’t see one. Nice. A little “easter egg” for people who look closely 😛 Is it a pet frog or one you found?
Haha! While traipsing around in a hollow where there was still some moisture and green grass (Southern CA in late September is pretty dry and blah), I just happened to see them EVERYWHERE! So it was a super happy coincidence.
The high-res photo is much bigger so I imagine he wouldn’t be so hard to see if printed calendar size, heehee.
I had a couple others too–it was super fun catching the little frogs and trying to snap pics before the little peepers jumped away 😀
Oh my gosh! I love that. The frog is sitting on his eye XD Chris, I feel pretty safe in assuming that at least one of your pictures is going to make it into the calendar.
October 24, 2011 at 3:51 pm #860802These photos are so fantastic. We are going to need to have regular photo contests, that much is clear!

My art: featherdust.comOctober 24, 2011 at 9:34 pm #860821I like the last two of your top three choices best (the mother kirin/baby & the green oriental in grass), myself. e.e Although the frog is cute too…
October 25, 2011 at 12:02 am #860830Top 3 I’m thinking to enter:
I like this one.
October 25, 2011 at 1:57 am #860841ah crap, why did they get cut off? I picked the large option on Flickr, 1024 x 768, and the next size is too small for Jennifer’s range, medium is 640 x 480. Any ideas/help for making them fit?
October 25, 2011 at 2:05 am #860842put them at 640 for now, so they fit on the forum (has to be smaller than 700 wide) but save the big versions for the calendar 🙂
The look awesome by the way! 😀
October 25, 2011 at 2:21 am #860840This was crazy fun. I was thinking of using my Victorian dollhouse for a third entry, but the only Windstones that fit in the furniture are baby kirin and baby unicorn.
Here are some of the dragons and a kirin enjoying tea time.
This was claimed as an attempt to “help” me study, but they really just wanted an excuse to make a mess…baby oriental dragon is actually eating my Nexis Webinar notes /sigh

Thanks 😀
So is it okay that the photo can be larger at its source, Flickr, or do I need to switch these out for the largest ones before Oct. 31?
October 25, 2011 at 2:26 am #860844I think if your pictures are chosen, they will contact you somehow or post the winners and ask you to email them the large version of whichever photo they pick. So you don’t have to worry about the large version until after the winners are chosen, just make sure you have them handy 🙂
October 25, 2011 at 3:03 am #860847I love that pic with the momma and baby kirins in the dry grass. 🙂
October 25, 2011 at 8:34 am #860860Excellent picture Crowfeather!
If you don’t mind suggestions, the only thing I would change would be using orange lights instead of multi-colored ones. It would be a great candidate for October!
Of course not! I’m always open to suggestions or advice. I’m hoping I’ll have some time Friday or Saturday to revamp my picture and I had a couple more things in mind to submit.
October 25, 2011 at 1:11 pm #860863It’s okay if your images are smaller than 700 pixels– that’s only so that they look nicer on the forum. If your photos are selected, I’ll email you and ask for the highest resolution copy that you have!

My art: featherdust.comOctober 26, 2011 at 2:27 pm #860857I thought that my favorite little (Blue Ripple) Poad and I would go on an adventure together! She seemed to like it. (But I think it’s because I had a lot of snacks in my backpack. 😉 )
This first picture is one of Ripple’s favorites. So I told her I’d upload it for her.
This next picture is a bit distant, but it is because my boyfriend is thoroughly convinced that Poads live in tree holes. He was hoping I could show how thrilled they are going into these little hideouts since, as he puts it, “They’re birds! They HAVE to like trees! …But since they can’t fly, they have to live on the ground and store things in holes.” ….I have to admit though. She does look pretty happy in there.
(This picture looks MUCH better when you have it full sized. I have another slightly larger image in photobucket if you would like to see it!)
………..
I MAY submit one more (or even possibly replace an image with another one). It’s so tough deciding which to enter! -But for now, I hope everyone likes the ones I put up!October 26, 2011 at 3:18 pm #860945I love your photos, PuffPastry!!! The one of your poad in the tree hole is just too cute!
October 26, 2011 at 3:28 pm #860947Puffpastry,love the Poad on the lookout.Where is that beautiful place at?
