Everyone need to squeak for more dragons in Turquoise! Squeak for LP turquoise fledgies and OWs!
I made a thread in Ask Melody. Go squeak!
June 21, 2011 at 8:25 pm #848893Oh how pretty .

*leans ear in towards turquoise oriental* What’s that little buddy? You want to move to Texas? What a coincidence! I think I could help you out there 😉Congrats, Wampus! Sooo pretty! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I love seeing “real life” photos of the ebay pieces.
June 22, 2011 at 7:05 pm #848988That`s a pretty oriental!:D
June 23, 2011 at 8:22 am #849088I just got this guy in the mail today 🙂
He was on ebay – had a tiny chip on one of his horns which turned out to be more of a serious paint rub than anything – it didn’t look like a typical chip to me as there were no jagged edges, just an absence of gold paint where it should have been! He also looked like he had a chip on one of his feet but at some point someone repaired him pretty decently. I touched up both areas and he looks like he’s mint 😀

The fledgling is painted both like the newer pieces (spectrals, OW, possibly the lap) and like the older peacock pieces-the family and the Emperor. The brightly colored one, with less champage, shows up more frequently, where as the older one with more champage does not.
June 23, 2011 at 3:52 pm #849103My collection is still nowhere near completely displayed yet. My barrister bookcase that I normally displayed them in is huge and heavy, so it hasnt been moved yet (moving requires getting it up and down some stairs, so we’ve been lazy and putting it off >.> ). And the two new barristers that I ordered have not come in yet. So a handful of them are displayed on normal bookshelves for the moment. No rhyme or reason for which ones I DO have out, just things Ive gotten recently and things that dont have their own boxes.
Things I received recently:
Thanks to drgnlvr for these beauties
June 23, 2011 at 3:59 pm #849104oh my goodness! What a beautiful collection you’ve got so far! O.O I can’t wait to see them all displayed in their new home on their new book cases 🙂 I love your green wall too. Ive got a very similar color as an accent wall in my office/windstone/misc room

Thanks Wolfen 😀 I was amazed that I got the highest bid on this guy! I generally bid and expect to lose, but I woke to the coveted Congratulations email one morning ^^ I’m not sure if he’s the dark or the light, I’ve never seen a dark in person. I think he may be light though since he matches my sitting spectral almost perfectly – he does have a lot of the champagne color on his crest and down his back though, I really like that 🙂
Beautiful collection Wampus!! I especially like the rainbows! I really need to get me an emperor one of these days.

I’ve got a picture I’ll post when I get home. I think someone on the forum has him now *head scratch*
June 23, 2011 at 10:10 pm #849169Oh! Well, in that case maybe it IS an old peacock color! XD
