March 2, 2008 at 5:59 am #672586I just saw this now… don’t really enter the flea market much.
But, I am so sorry to hear about this scorpiolady! 🙁 I know you must be scared right now, and the medical bills are just dreadful to think about also. My mom and aunt both had the beginnings of cervical cancer… and both came through it okay. I just hope I don’t get it too! I’ve already gone through over 2 years of chemo for leukemia. I was diagnosed at the age of 15, and I’ve been in remission for 10 years now. With today’s medical technology, the odds of beating cancers is getting better every day! 🙂 I’ll keep you in my prayers.
March 2, 2008 at 5:29 pm #672587I am so sorry. It’s hard to know just what to say. I hope you have a great doctor. If you have any doubts at all I would suggest going for a second opinion – or going to a specialist. Even if the specialist does the same thing it can make a huge difference in how they treat you. A friend had a horrible experience with her ear/nose/throat doctor when he diagnosed her with thyroid cancer (they never returned her calls and wanted to schedule the “discussion” appointment for AFTER the surgery) so she went to Sloan Kettering. They returned her calls within a couple of hours and scheduled a discussion with her and her husband BEFORE they did anything. A good doctor should encourage you to check out all your options.
Good luck and best wishes.
