lol. making me jealous! I’ve wanted to re-watch it since I saw it on tv!!! π π
March 28, 2008 at 2:20 pm #675343I’ve never heard of Thomas Crowne. I’ll look it up.
March 28, 2008 at 5:05 pm #675344I must be alone, because I dislike “Thomas Crowne Affair” with a passion.
I’ve seen a lot of really great movies lately:
No Country for Old Men
There Will be Blood
Gone Baby Gone
Dan in Real Life (I couldn’t stop blushing the whole time)“The Mist” wasn’t great but was entertaining.
March 28, 2008 at 5:54 pm #675345I just saw “The Lake House” yesterday. It was so wonderful and sweet. Such good writing!
March 28, 2008 at 5:56 pm #675346I didn’t really like Thomas Crowne either. I thought it was a bit of a rip off of his Bond character, and now they’re doing a sequel. π
The Mist was a great story, it’s the stuff you can’t see that you should be scared about. Haven’t seen the movie yet.
Did finally see the 40-year Old Virgin and laughed til I snorted orange juice. I’ll definitely have to get that one on DVD.
March 28, 2008 at 7:06 pm #675347I rented a few tonight. 3:10 to Yuma, Martain Child, and Bee movie. I had “No Country for Old Men” in my hand but I put it back.

I saw “The Thomas Crowne Affair” on tv a few weeks ago and really liked it, but I believe that’s an older film…not sure, but it was really good. It has Pierce Brosman in it. π
The one you saw is not the original. The original was from 1968, and had Steve McQueen and Faye Dunaway in it. I still need to sit down and watch the whole thing. I am a huge Steve McQueen fan. He is the King of Cool!!! It’s a damn shame he’s dead.
I like Pierce Brosnan… but can’t stand Rene Russo. I really like Pierce as James Bond in those 4 he did. I still prefer Sean Connery though… he’ll always be the ultimate 007 IMO. But, I really loved the newer Casino Royale with Daniel Craig. That guy is HOT!!!

3:10 to Yuma looks good. I still want to see that one.
Anyone else gonna go see Run Fatboy Run? π

Sean Connery will always be James Bond to me too!!! That’s who my son “Sean” is named after. He thinks it’s pretty cool!!! π

I’ll be going eventually, I love Simon Pegg. Shaun of the Dead was hilarious. I also want to see Leatherhead, Horton Hears a Who, The Other Boleyn Girl and Prince Caspian…too many movies so little time. We’re doing a huge birthday party for my Dad (his 60th) and two uncles tomorrow so I’ll be busy all day.

I saw 3:10 to Yuma, it was great. Right now it seems like we’re in a movie drought. The best thing out seems to be horton hears a hoo. My sister and friend liked 10,000 bc but as an anthro grad it’s so off that they might as well have had raquel welch running around in a fur bikini being chased by iguanas. And that’s just from what little i’ve been told about the movie. The next couple of weeks aren’t promising with several stupid looking horror movies coming out. I’m waiting for run fatboy run, prince caspian, Iron man and leatherheads. Oh and I’m not counting the movies that have been out forever because of the oscars.
I would help but I am just to tired to get out of bed today~

That is cool! How old is your son? And what’s your and his favorite Bond movie?
I think my favorite would have to be Dr. No. If I had to pick a favorite out of the Roger Moore ones… it would be A View to a Kill. Only cause Christopher Walken cracks me up! π

Yes, Shaun of the Dead was very funny! I also really liked Hot Fuzz. It took a while before that one got good and funny… but I was crying from laughing at some of the scenes, from the middle to the end.

Have you any interest in watching “Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?”

My son is 14. My favorite Bond film is Diamonds Are Forever. I think he likes all of them. π
