Hi y’all, I was digging in my yard yesterday and found this rock. I know it’s just a rock but has my curiosity up because,as far as I know, there aren’t any cliffs, big boulders, nadda, around me so it probably got transferred here.Does anyone have a clue about where it may have come from? Do you recognize this sediment pattern? If not,ok,just a cool looking rock and wondering about it’s origin.Thx😁

The colors range from yellows to rusty colorings.Doesn’t show them well.

My guess – and it is only a guess – is a piece of marble that has been stained by the soil.

Looks like the granite that is all over our old place in California.

I wanted to put it in the aquarium but wanted to know a little about it first if possible.
                Thanks for your input.😁

Just looks like a normal rock tbh. Make sure to boil it well (twice preferably) before you put it in your aquarium to remove any nasties from it.

Looks similar to what we have here in Utah as well. I’d agree with the granite- we have tons of that here and looks like it would it right in.
Now I want pictures of your aquarium!

This is fun thread that got lost along the way. I think that Bodine posted some photos here.

Post pics of your non-canine/feline pets!
