Well the database is only a month out of date now. Whew! I’ve been working on it for about an hour a day lately. In that hour I’m able to get roughly a week’s worth of data added to is. If I keep this rate up the database should be up to date in a few more days.

I’m also doing my best to add pictures where I can. I think at last count there were well over 100 pictures that I needed to find. I’m trying to take them from current ebay auctions so I’m not pulling all of them from the windstone store or astral castle’s encyclopedia. Pictures may take a little longer obviously.

I’m glad to do it! I know how important having a price guide for collectibles can be. I just have to do it in small chunks or I start to go cross eyed and my wrists ache. That and my son starts climbing all over me wanting attention.

That reminds me, I need to look for a new copy of the Overstreet Price Guide for comics to see where some of my dad’s old comics are sitting out now. Last guide I bought for him was almost 10 years ago. Funny thing is the price guide is a collectible as well.

I (well, my bf) take pics of all our pieces for insurance purposes. They’re all in a light box on gray background. I mostly have Peacocks so if you ever need a pic, just holler.

Database is now current through March 7, 2008. I’ve also added a list of pieces (to the first post) that I haven’t been able to find good pictures of just yet. I’d like the picture to be just the piece and in clear focus whereever possible. I’m trying to have the pictures in the database 400 pixels wide.

If you’d like you can PM or email me the photos. If you are going to post one here, please just put the link so that way the thread won’t get flooded with pictures.

You’re welcome! It would be farther along, but I spent some of my free time the past week working on my son’s costume for the ren fair rather than updating the database. Since the costume is done I can get back to updating it. Of course since I leave for the fair tomorrow it probably won’t be completely up to date until some time next week.
