These are great! Ryu is a bold combination of colors shaded just right, and I see the little rims you put on the side scales–wow, nice touch. And Okopipi is absolutely cute as a button! The facial markings really accentuate the slightly drawn-down expression she has around her muzzle on the right face; it makes her look like she’s thinking about mischief. And the little halos around her spots are wonderful. Such nice work! 😀

One of my newest completed PYOs. I call this one ‘Bucky’ – for obvious reasons. Buckskin and dapple gray are my favorite colors for horses, so I thought it fitting to attempt one of those schemes on a Kirin. I tried to keep this guy as ‘natural’ looking as possible. But kirins are .naturally’ magical creatures, so some gold and highlights did manage to creep into the mix. I will be listing him on ebay shortly 😉 .

Here are a few more PYOs I finished recently and both are currently on ebay.

The Keeper’s name is Opal Dawn and her colors are inspired by the way snow looks at daybreak or dusk. She was a pain to photograph. She seems rather ‘flat’ to me in her photos, but she is very pearly and the light blue and lilac antiquing I did is much richer, in my opinion, in person. I also gave her a generous coat of magic paint – which you can’t see because of the crappy weather I’m having here.

The second PYO is a griffin I call Night Fire. He was intended to be a exclusively raven/black jaguar griffy, but he evolved into something a bit more colorful. He also has a generous coat of magic paint.
