Here are two of my newest completed PYOs.
The first one is called “Okopipi”. She is inspired by the little blue poison dart frog by the same name. Unfortunately, the pictures don’t do her justice. She appears to be one shade of blue, but her legs and mane have lovely shades of violet-blue that subtly change to light blue on her belly and bright, skyish blues on her back. Very bummed I couldn’t catch that color play…
Anyways, I’m also going to paint a Okopipi version of a griffin and a dragon. It’s going to be interesting how they turn out.
Second I have a Kirin. Kirins have been painted like kio quite often, so I decided to break from the norm and try my hand at painting one like a Betta fish. His name is “Ryu” and he’s colored in like my favorite colored betta. Not a an exact representation, mind you, but I think he came out pretty well. I also tried some of the ‘magic’ paint on him. It gives him a nice glossy finish – like a fishy out of water. I really like the glitter effect to.
Oh! Okopipi look lovely! I can see the different colors on my monitor (it’s there, but it’s subtle, so I’m sure it shows up even more so in person). Lovely! I like Ryu too. 🙂 You always have such lovely and unique pyos (I need a money tree).
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.
