How about a red panda?
Or arctic fox
Or naked mole rat
So cute and pebble-like!These would be cute–the mole rat—interesting but I’ll pass. I once saw a documentary on these critters and it was disgusting. You have the main she-rat with her servants lying around her and the other worker rats would feed them and in return would get manure! Kid you not–the workers ask for it and get it from the source :puke: ! Then again, it could be an interesting conversation piece!

So politically incorrect Lupin! :spank: 😀 (I wonder who else gets this)Those bats are cute, they kinda look like marshmallows with fruit bits on them… 😀
😀 😆
That’s what they’re called in “My Language”.
The Male is French.
Think about how That’s gonna turn out when the kids get to school. 😀 😆 👿
I see incoming Phone calls. 😈December 23, 2010 at 6:29 pm #834357Melody wrote:purpleturtle wrote:I totally agree with Jen. I think you will appeal to a lot of people. I know they appeal to me 😀 . As a production item, I think the pebble animals would do very well.
On a side note, have you ever considered sculpting a pebble bat 😉 ?Have you seen those white bats that hang under banana leaves? OMG soo cute! Only some animals lend themselves to being pebble-ized, however. Some just refuse to do it, like the wolf and ferret I tried. Part of the success of this idea may be to stick to animals that don’t look stupid in a lumpy pose.
Haha! Those bats were exactly what I was thinking of. Aren’t those too freaking cute. The way they huddle together – it’s like finding a bundle of ‘squee’ 😆 .

December 24, 2010 at 1:23 am #834362My daughter would love a badger! They are nice and roundish.
Oh! Gliding possums! Adorable!
The Kirin is an excellent idea! On one of my COA, you drew a baby kirin cuddled up like a hiding fawn. Perfect pepple shape!
So many animals, so little time!December 24, 2010 at 2:25 am #834363Naked mole rats creep me out. o.O A friend of mine has two of them…and a chinchilla! They are cute when they take dust baths. How about a pebble chinchilla! 😀

Ha ha you are right. It just needs a bit more browns and greens. Nausicaa! was an epic movie. Miyazaki sensei is a true genius.
December 24, 2010 at 4:04 pm #834365Well, so far I don’t like the pebbles (don’t throw things – Santa is watching), but some of the suggestions sound interesting.

I’ll have to see if I have any husky pics where they are curled up in a ball. You could do a wolf with those because in profile huskys and wolves have the same body type. My favorite one is when they make themselves into donuts and bury their noses in their tails. That would be pebbleish.
Looking for Blue Fawn Baby Kirin
Sanguine Oriental Test Paints, kinglet
Sun Dragon Koi #3December 28, 2010 at 11:21 pm #834367A pebble mourning dove could be done: just use a juvenile bird for a model. The fledgeling doves have shorter tails (and are more or less pebble-like anyway in shape). They have a full set of feathers, not down, but the wing- and tailfeathers haven’t finished growing out yet.
