I’m really looking forward to the Windstone clothing and calendar. I already have more cups and mugs than I need, but I can always squeeze in another calendar.
February 18, 2007 at 3:42 pm #539676I’m most interested in a calendar and a mug. She already posted 2 mugs, but I want to see if there are more designs before I buy one.

I was going to post a link to the shop here, but after reading the “terms of service” cafe press has, I chickened out on this. It sounds as if they have rights to your designs! It probably just means that you are giving them the license to use your designs on their stuff, which you would have to allow them to, of course, but there is a clause about them being able to change this agreement at any time!
.. so we are back to Lawyer land again. This is why we never accomplish anything. Thanks for advising us. You do have to keep yourself covered

I’ve got three coffee mugs in it. Hey, that took me all day! ( Notice the very cool drop shadow on the sushi-cat mug! That took three people about an hour to do by itself.)Also notice the impressive typo in the store description. You should always spell your company’s name wrong. You might have already done this but are you going to post this somewhere like Announcments so we will all know where it is when we want to order something?

Its already there.
February 18, 2007 at 5:56 pm #539681Wow, that was fast! Thanks, Meloday – now I can drink hot chocolate out of a Windstone mug! (coffee=the most foul tasting beverage around) You are the greatest!

I’ve got three coffee mugs in it.Wow, that was quick! I wanted to check with you on a few things:
1) The image on the mug looks like its all squished to the left. Is it actually centered on the side which faces you (if the handle is to the left)?
2) Is the image only on one side or on both sides? In the picture it looks like its only on one side.
3) If its only on one side, it looks like the image would be on the side which is not facing you if you’re right handed. Is that the way it supposed to be?
February 18, 2007 at 7:44 pm #539683Thanks, Mimi. I had the same questions. 😀

Usually with Cafe Press, the photo will be centered on one side…whichever side the person who put the item up picks. To get the photo on both sides, the artist has to double the picture and make it into one long image with the picture at both ends. Needless to say it’s a huge pain in the rear to do this. It doesn’t look like Melody’s done this, so it’s probably only on one side.
The image will be on whatever side it looks to be on in the picture…what you see is what you get. It can be switched by the artist in the edit process of setting the item up, but whatever side it looks to be on when you buy it will be the side it’s on when you get it.

The pictures of the mugs don’t look very good. I ordered one of those mugs, so I’ll see for myself how it looks when I get it. I think that it is just how the image looks in the store.. but why don’t you wait till I get one to check, to be sure the image isn’t squished.

The image is just on one side, away from the drinker if they are right handed. Should I put them on both sides? I can do that. I was going to do some wrap around designs too.

Yes.
I am open to any suggestions you have! I don’t know what I am doing. I’m proud of myself for even getting those things up!February 18, 2007 at 9:33 pm #539688frozendragon wrote:drag0nfeathers wrote:OH YEA! Poad skibbies, bloomers, knickers, undies, or as my mother called them… fudgies =D

Thanks Melody! Let us know what you think.

Having the image on both sides would be great — I think that would look a lot nicer. In addition, it would work for both left and right handed people, regardless of whether they preferred the image to be facing toward or away from the drinker (since the image would be on both sides).
Say, what other designs are you planning to offer for the mugs?

I was surprised that you got them up there so quickly! 🙂 By the way, I was really hoping that I could get the peacock emerald Secret Keeper on a mug, so I was really happy to see that it was one of first designs to be offered. 😀
One other question — are these mugs the 11 oz. ones?
