The retiring of rubies and red fires makes sense, but there have been red-colored test paints sold recently. This was on EBay, too, so the buyer might not have been on the forum to discover the fading difficulty. Is it possible that the issue has been resolved?

I’ve always wanted a red oriental, since the first time that I saw them. 😀 I’m basically waiting for the PYO though which for me seems the best course of action to get one.

From what I understand the Ruby was the unstable one, not the Red Fire. They had problems with Red Fire one they moved locations
