Danny had his two year bronc and an mri done on his lungs last week and they told us today they think he has lung cancer. We are waiting for the oncologist to call us so we can schedule him to get an invasive lung biopsy so we know what we are dealing with. He didn’t feel bad at all but he had a 10% drop in his pulmonary function test so thats why the did the mri. They said there is a small nodule in his left lung that is 1cm. They told us last year he had something there but they though it was scar tissue from his surgery. We are pretty freaked out right now and I wish the damn oncologist would call us so we could get this test scheduled!
Oh lord no! Oh sweetie, I’m so sorry, that is just horrible news!!! We are sending you lots of love and possitive prayers that it’s either nothing or something small they can get rid of! *warm fuzzies!!!!*
Oh no! Please, please, please let it just be some big scarring…

I understand the emotional roller coaster you go through when your husband is ill–been there–done that and it isn’t easy! [hugs] I will be thinking of you in a positive way and I sincerely hope everything will turn out fine for you.
They are going to call us tomorrow to let us know if they are going to do a needle biopsy or have to open him up and get at whatever it is in his lung that way. His normal tx doctor that follows him and the radiologist think its cancer but the surgeon who did his actual transplant thinks its a pocket of infection. So we just sit and wait till we can get the biopsy and find out what it is. Yeah we just had his two year party and he was feeling fine (and still is). He said he felt crappy after his bronch last friday but now he feels fine, no pain, no nothing. Ugh the stress!!!!
Don’t freak out too much. I work at a Dr’s office and we have to tell everyone that there is a possibility of cancer, even when it’s usually not much at all. It’s sad because we have to upset people, but it’s a big liability if we don’t warn people and it does come back positive.

To try and be optimistic, my mother had a lump recently in her breast and it took FOREVER for them to get the tests done but eventually, we discovered it was just benign. So keep positive thoughts!Oh no… I’m so sorry to hear that! I am doing my best to send whatever good luck I have your way! Try and stay positive and I know somehow it will work out.
