I’m still anxious to see what the PYO swapper thinks. I shipped him out yesterday… π
Hubby informed me that the starting price on that mama dragon is $300. Does that seem high to anyone? He said for the sheer amount of work she’s taking, that’s the lowest he’ll go….(says that like he’s done more than just WATCHED π ).
I won’t be able to work on her til tomorrow, bummer. We’re having poker here tonight, and I gotta get the placed cleaned up(the table is COVERED with horses, dragons, paints, ect, and the dog chewed up something?? it’s all over the house)
May 4, 2007 at 5:48 pm #569683Considering a decent hourly wage, $300 is good and your hubby is absolutely right. Unfortunately, I doubt the free market on E-Bay would give you that – except for folks like TC.

Yeah, I tried to explain that to him. That these aren’t like the horses, these are just “collectible” and fun. Horses, if you have a good one, you make decent money. Windstones, while more fun, really aren’t all that profitable it seems. I donno. I’ll post pix when she’s done and see what the world thinks π I’d be happy to get enough to buy some more damaged ones haha. She’s a lot less stressful to work on.

I dunno, 300 is a BIT steep I think, BUT pretty close to what I was going to offer you, I will PM you later bout it if thats ok?
But then again isnt it “your” decision to agreee/set a price?? LOL π― β

Yea, being bigger and all, I can see how it would take a bit longer, but yet easier too. π π

haha. Money is always nice! We’re supposed to be getting our tax returns one of these days….pay off TWO credit cards!! EE!!
Sure, I’ll take private offers. Normally, with the horses I pick the prices, unless one comes along hubby doesn’t want me to sell. I think that’s the case here, he thinks she looks awsome in the curio(he’d keep ALL the dragons if he had it his way though….)
May 5, 2007 at 4:31 am #569689Your hubby sounds cool. It’s better than wondering why the wife spends so much money on dust collectors. π

Yeah, he’s awsome. He is really supportive. You should have seen my first custom horse, and I was barely selling them for cost for the longest time. He bought me a new brush, and pushed me to be better. He’s pretty cool.
And he loves them Old Warriors π

My family all wonder why I have so many dust collectors. When Packages arrive I’ve even gotten a sinde “Another Dust collector?” from Mom π
May 5, 2007 at 7:30 am #569693My Mom actually told me she’s glad I started going after Windstones. It keeps my money away from my weapons collections. π

I’ve got a friend who does sword fighting and stuff and hopefully we’ll be able to find time for him to teach me this summer! And he refuses to teach another friend of ours how to throw knives. He’s scared cause one of his best friends is her boyfriend.
May 5, 2007 at 8:01 am #569695I bet swordfighting is fun. One of these days I hope to find someone who can teach me hand to hand knife fighting. I have several DVDs on the subject, but watching isn’t the same as doing.
May 5, 2007 at 12:17 pm #569696Remind me to never make you mad!!! π
