Yesterday I pulled a bunch of old projects out of my craft closet and decided that 2019 is the year I finish stuff!
…It turns out that when you don’t finish things for years you will find that random bits are missing. Like those tiny pesky gemstones. Or both eyeballs. XD
So I technically only finished two pieces yesterday instead of four, because one was missing its crystal and the other is missing its eyes! Can’t figure out how that happened. I’ll do my best to finish them this month, though.
Meanwhile, I can post the two that are fully complete!

I love genetics and have a lot of accumulated knowledge about animal color inheritance. This is my fourth colorpoint Kitty Griffin, representing the ‘Lilac Point’ color. Lilac point is the dilute form of Chocolate point (Chocolate gene plus dilution gene), producing a light-toned, warm gray color on the points.
I apologize for the photo quality; my camera does not like Lilac point. I did three separate photoshoots in diffent lighting situations, and every single one looked good on the camera screen but was blurry or overexposed when uploaded to the computer!
These were taken indoors in indirect light, and they show the shading well but the color is odd in some of them:
Sunlight shows the true colors better, but washes out all the shading:

Luv them all Nightcrow; but growing up with 2 Seal Point Siamese cats I too gravitated to ur Seal Pt. as my personal fav. but all are beautiful !!

Guys, I think you should know that there was a casting date penciled on the bottom of this piece – and that date was October 3rd, 2012. That’s how long this poor dragon has been sitting around half-finished! Long enough for his eyes to go missing, though thank goodness I still had his gem. Suzie very kindly sent me more eyes when I mailed back some random extras I found. 😛
His eye sockets are extremely deep; his eyes are completely below the level of the socket even at their thickest point, which gives him a grumpy look. Wonder if this is something that newer Keepers also struggle with, or if perhaps it was corrected at some point?

He was painted in acrylics and sealed, then antiqued with another coat of sealant mixed with interference gold to create an antiquing effect.
His dangly treasure is made from two stray earrings I had lying around for some reason; one had four smaller multicolored drops on it, and all I did was remove the purple one. Later I found the second earring, which had the large drop in a coordinating color, and I added it to to the chain of smaller drops.

Oooh, very beautiful! Reminds of of marble with gold flakes in it!
