Just curious since we never heard a follow up report – what happened to the fish that were on the porch during the really cold weather?
March 11, 2021 at 12:26 pm #1638299Oh yeah, sorry. They are just fine.I covered the tank with a little blanket and their temp stayed a cozy 82°.I told them if our cold spell lasts much longer I was climbing in.Their tank was way warmer than my home was for a bit there😁

The striped one is the biggest and the youngest.I posted a pic of him as a zygo about a year ago.I am hoping as he matures they will successfully spawn. We love our tanks.

April 4, 2021 at 5:36 pm #1639394I love the pic with the bee! That orangey azalea is a pretty one.

Amaryllises (amarylli?) #4 and 5 decided to open, I didn’t realize they were identical. Need to get some different ones when they’re available later in the year.
And just because, this orchid (Maxillaria taenufolia) is not such a spectacular one to look at, but it smells intensely of coconut suntan lotion. And it’s covered with these little (about 1″) flowers. Blooming rather early this year, but so are some of my others.
Actually this little Dendrobium lindleyi (aggregatum) was right on time.
April 28, 2021 at 3:35 am #1640410My Amerillis’got wiped out this year sorry to say.All the freezing the last week of cold froze the bulbs.Even with them up on the porch.I lost about half my flowers.Except the Azaleas.Just exploded this year.
My awesome son in law got me this big green dragon for my tank.It is scaring the he’ll out of my Angels. They are staying as far away from it as possible.Even after about 19hrs.so I am going to have to take it out. They perceive it as a threat.Every act matters. No matter how small💞
