aaaauuuugh I want them to get to the factory… T___T UPS has delayed them until tomorrow…I want someone to open them up and tell me everyone arrived in one piece!!!

Oh, they’re hangin’ out with me! 😉 They won’t ever hit ebay, so they’ll probably float around my work space for a while.

Did you give them eyes yet? 😀 The hatching emperor would look so awesome with the royal blue eyes.
Arlla, I was wondering what brand of paints you use. I saw some folk art ones in the photos, but is that all? The colors are so stunning (the richness), I thought you might be using some Golden or something. Maybe a mix?

I have very good results with the craft paints. I mostly use Folk Art and Americana. When I started painting PYOs, I used Golden brand, but their paints are very translucent; in my experience they come out looking streaky and they are VERY difficult for me to blend. I do use their interference colors though – the interference paints are amazing. I will occasionally mix them into the base color of whatever I’m doing, though on these griffins I only used them to put shimmer on the wings and purple on the snow leopard griffin’s spots and feathers. Oh, and the beaks, too. Everything else is done with the craft paints. I’m really glad to hear you describe it that way – I think the richness comes from the MANY layers I put on…and also by adding a little metallic color to whatever paint mix I’m working with. 🙂

I gave the hatching empress and emperor blue eyes, though I think it’s the middle blue, not the royal blue…I only had two choices in that eye size, blue or red. 😛

AAAUUUUUGGG I’m dying!! XD Susie said the box arrived, but she didn’t open it yet…So I won’t know if they arrived intact until Monday at the earliest…. T___T

OOO I want a Vespa too! Not that it would be practical in Houston, but I’d ride it anyway! Or, it would be an excuse to move to Austin, where it would be practical. “Yea, I moved here so I could use my Vespa” hehe Except right now I’d be more interested in Tiger griffins than anything else. mwahahah!
