June 21, 2008 at 3:54 am #703808OMG π― OMG π― OMG I LOVE HIM. Your work is amazing! I love the lavander eyes, its unusal. I think pale yellow would work well to π .
June 21, 2008 at 3:57 am #703809man…..a day late and a dollar short. I should have joined this forum when Melody told me to, now I’ll have to pay BIG bucks for a snow or tiger griffin!!!! π π π

Well, I don’t think that “rival” is the right word! π Nam’s work is my standard of excellence – I aspire to be as good as she is! And you pay me the highest compliment by associating my work with hers, so THANK YOU! ^_^

I agree with Travistie; the goldness of the talons bothered me too, but the fact that they stand out like that might be due only to the picture.
The beak is showing up weirdly dark…the antiqued gold I used on the talons is actually a darker color gold than the main color of the beak, but it doesn’t show up that way! I could always antique the claws again…thought ideally I wish I could lighten up the beak.

June 22, 2008 at 7:48 pm #703812I just can’t say! It will depend, I think, on how well the first few sell. If it were up to me, I would like to do another family of snowleopards with light yellow eyes and gold interference instead of violet. We’ll see!

I think he looks awesome with lavender eyes. I can’t wait to see the chicks!
June 23, 2008 at 1:14 am #703814How beautiful! I say go with the green eyes. They really stand out! π
June 23, 2008 at 8:24 am #703815I keep going back to look at him. I really think he’s my favorite griffin so far.
June 24, 2008 at 12:05 pm #703816Alrighty, some better photos. I got these right before packing them up and sending them back to the factory in Hollywood, so hopefully they’ll be seeing ebay soon! π (sorry for any lighting inconsistancies – I’m definitely not a professional picture taker… and I don’t know where my tripod is at the moment, so some of them maybe a tad fuzzy too :/
Here are a couple closeups of the momma griffin:
Here’s the violet snow leopard griffin:
And a couple of shots trying to show the interference violet on his feathers and fur:
