I know it’s probably in here somewhere, but I can’t seem to find t. Can anyone tell me the date Windstone is actually moving to Corvalis, OR?

I think it’s more like how long the move is going to take, but others can definitly feel free to correct me!! 😛

Last I heard, there is no planned date. They are hoping, as far as I know, to move in March- though I suspect that the move is going to take more than a few days. It’s more likely they will stage the move.

Last I heard they were still flying by the seat of their pants and taking it one day at a time. 🙂

If you listen to the radio show, Melody says they’re moving in stages, truck load by truck load. They are already in possession of the building so it’s just what they can pack into the truck at one time. Of course they don’t want to have to pay rent on more than one place for much longer so, basically, it’s just as fast as they can.

–These need some lovin’ too please. 🙂

We are in the process of moving now.Our building here in North Hollywood is made up of “units”. We are moving out of each unit as fast as we can. We are going to keep running the casting and painting for a while longer. Then we will shut the casting dept. down, pack it up and move it.
We will continue to paint things that we already have cast ’till we pretty much get that inventory finished and boxed. Thats the best way to move it, otherwise we would need to pack thousands of unfinished pieces somehow…The estimated ( or hoped-for date) to have the majority of Windstone moved is end of March. Maybe.

Please hold off on visiting us right now; unfortunately we just don’t have any spare time these days! Every hour of every day is critically needed to get us out of here.
Perhaps we will have time for visits again, when we are down to the last unit, but we need to see how it goes.

I wish I could come and visit. You need to move to the east coast 😉

I’d rather move to Oregon then the East coast.
I don’t think I could live in Snow full time during Winter though.
I was in Denver January 2007 and driving in the snow was SCARY

Snow is a breeze, especially if you have snow tires (chains if you are in the mountains out West). Snow tires or really good all seasons with nice deep gripping treads are good (I swapped out the all-season tires that came with my car last year when I discovered they stopped worth crap in slush – couldn’t stop sliding and almost hit the car ahead of me). You just have to take is slower than you would in good weather and give yourself plenty of room between you and the car ahead of you. You get used to it pretty quick. Ice and freezing rain/sleet are the ones to worry about. If you have a pickup or truck, you wait the back end down (so you don’t have a light back end that is prone to fishtailing when it is slick out – buckets of sand or sandbags work nicely).

<– Click us please, so we can hatch. 🙂

No thank you plus I LOVE to ride my motorcycle during the year. You can’t do that in snow
