Sorry you’re being forced out but it sounds like it’ll be a good move for you anyways. Good luck hun!! Hugs!! 😀
August 16, 2010 at 8:01 pm #824445Chicago huh? Hope the Amtrak to Carbondale sometime and come say hi. I’ll take you for a hike in Giant City park. 😉
August 17, 2010 at 3:51 pm #824446Yep, it couldn’t be easier – the tracks run right through town! (I grew up in Carbondale and my parents are still there.) Giant City park is nice. You should do it! 🙂

If this were under better circumstances I’d be totally thrilled, but I was basically told to get out yesterday, so it’s a depressing rush to find a place to live that I can afford that’s nearby a store to work at.
I’ve gotten a few emails and PM’s, I am not responding to any just yet, as I found out yesterday that instead of having to ship what I could afford and buy a plane ticket, my friend might road trip to me and pick up as much as he can of my boxes and maybe even my curio cabinet (though I’m not holding my breath for that). If he decides to do that, I can keep a few more of the dragons I don’t want to part with (and of course, those are a few that I have gotten offers for) So I’ll keep the emails and PM’s for now, and I should know for sure tonight.
Thanks so much to everyone.
OOOOOH i really wish i could give you a hug right now!!!
i really think it’s great that you are moving but i wish that it didn’t have to be stressful like it sounds.August 18, 2010 at 4:08 am #824448Emailed you! My sentiments are in there too 🙂

^^ more people to visit yay! I’m actually going to be in Elburn, I’ve been saying Chicago because my friends and people at work give me blank stares when I tell them Elburn lol. But that makes you closer!

August 18, 2010 at 2:35 pm #824450I had a look at the map, the train does stop in Homewood, but it looks like Union station would still be closer to you. 😉
I’m sorry too, that this is so sudden for you, but given some of your past stories, I’m glad for you that you’re getting out of your mother’s house!
August 18, 2010 at 7:46 pm #824451I’ve tried emailing you about an offer, and the link says it can’t find the server and the regular email returned the message by mail daemon saying you don’t have a yahoo account. I don’t know how else to contact you except by PM and you didn’t want that. If I’m doing something wrong, which is likely considering my vast lack of computer skills, can you tell me how I can contact you? I don’t have AIM or the other one. I don’t know what to do now. Thanks!
August 18, 2010 at 7:48 pm #8244520_o that’s weird…I don’t know what’s going wrong, I’ve gotten emails from other people just fine.
Go ahead and PM me
August 19, 2010 at 1:29 am #824453Personally, I did not use the link she provided in this thread. I copied and pasted her email address into my own email and then sent it. She has received my emails a few times so try that way and see what happens. Don’t hyperlink it.

August 19, 2010 at 6:47 am #824454I didn’t embed a link in it, I just typed it out = Maybe that’s the problem
August 19, 2010 at 7:06 am #824455Drgnlvr might have put in leigha-tharp rather than leigha_tharp. 😕 That would do it.
Good luck on your sale, Leigha. The circumstances are not happy, but the good part is that moving to another part of the country will be an adventure. The bad part? Cold, cold winters! 🙁 And it costs more for shipping from Windstone. 😆

true true, crazy weather from what I hear.
August 19, 2010 at 2:46 pm #824457Oh my goodness! I’m happy your moving, but I’m sorry it has to be such a stressful situation. Best of luck!
August 19, 2010 at 4:16 pm #824458Thanks 🙂 so far though, everything seems to be falling into place (because I haven’t told my mother yet :shout: ) hehehe
