How about New Year’s Eve? 🙂
December 25, 2009 at 11:23 pm #786731AnonymousNope.
December 25, 2009 at 11:48 pm #786732Your anniversary? 😕
December 28, 2009 at 4:06 am #786733AnonymousThat’s September 12 …… 😈
December 28, 2009 at 6:09 am #786734Nice house, Snap! Very nice house. Though I have to say, I spent more time studying the truck than the building because I’m looking to get a 4×4 pickup myself for the mountains.
Hm… I guess you get to take posession on… Valentine’s Day, maybe?December 29, 2009 at 11:04 am #786735I am signing the papers tomorrow!
I’m so antsy. My mind is hopping back and forth between overjoy and hoping I’m not making some sort of mistake.December 30, 2009 at 5:44 pm #786736AnonymousThe floor is done upstairs. We’ve moving our bed tomorrow. There’s 30 people coming over to the inlaws for New Years and no WAY am I going to be around for that.
Silly gooses … the date is not a hard one to figure out.
GB .. I know the feeling. When I bought our first condo, I felt overwhelmed and sold it.. and it was a big mistake.
This house is HUGE … HUGE HUGE HUGE .. compared to what I’m used to.. I have to resist the urge to flip it and make some cash.December 30, 2009 at 5:46 pm #786737Moving on New Years? Have fun with that. At least we don’t have any snow here to stomp through. How about you?
December 30, 2009 at 6:13 pm #786738AnonymousIt’s snowing right now.. has been for a few days.
December 31, 2009 at 12:22 am #786739What a huge house! Wow!
Though I don’t at all envy your ‘coffee cup’ neighbors.
That’s when we call it when houses are close enough (or, nearly so) to reach out your window and hand your neighbor a cup of coffee…. XDStiil, it’s WAY exciting to have your own place. I’ve been at my place a year starting tomorrow and I am still excited about it.

My art: featherdust.comDecember 31, 2009 at 3:28 am #786740AnonymousYeah, actually, these are farther apart than in the city … I know what you mean. At least we’re at the end of the subdivision so we’ll be mostly light traffic and quiet for the next five to ten years .. the goal is to stick in this house for ten years so we’ll see how it goes.
When they clean up on the weekend I’ll get some pictures of the inside. The floor was to be finished today and the appliances come on Monday so then it’s worth taking pictures.
Tell me if I have my priorities wrong, I had the Internet installed last week. 😈 😀
December 31, 2009 at 6:39 am #786741“Coffee cup” neighbors. Now that’s a good phrase to remember, Nam.
And about my chalet… I SIGNED THE PAPERS YESTERDAY and now I’m rather freaked out and absolutely crazily happy. I have the keys and I have permission to use a neighbor’s garage and another neighbor (like, over the hill) is a farmer who can provide me with fresh milk and eggs, home made cheese and sides of bacon and veal and ohmygoodness it’s just all overwhelming.
The Chalet Bergfried (means “mountain peace” or “mountain refuge”; so appropriate), with a little bit of snow out front:
Me in the doorway of my house. My house!
Inside in the dining/living room:
Heck, I’m 21 and I own a chalet in the Alps. I’m sure this only happens once in a blue moon. That’s “my” mountain, the Säntis, and yesterday was actually a blue moon:
