But of course any of you are very welcome to to visit any time you like. 🙂Trust me, if I could only afford the plane ticket! Or if I had a passport… 😈

Haha! You wouldn’t be the first to get a passport just to come visit me or my family. 😆
January 25, 2010 at 6:32 am #786763For those who are interested…
I was up there yesterday to see how the refinished floors turned out, and to bring up another load of stuff. Here ya go!
My driveway, which the front-wheel drive Bonnie can’t get up if there’s this much snow:
The refinished floor, which used to be the color of walnut, very dark:
And my first “furnishing” in the main room, an ibex hide in front of the fire place:
January 25, 2010 at 8:22 am #786764SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO pretty! I love wood floors!
I had to google what an ibex was, where’d you get the fur?
January 25, 2010 at 12:10 pm #786765I got the fur at a garden store, actually. They sell plants and garden décor and tools, but also things you can use on a nice outdoor dinner set. The fur was in a table arrangement that a salesgirl was just finishing up. I asked her if it was for sale, and whether I could buy it and pick it up later so she wouldn’t have to unto the whole arrangement she’d just put so much time into.
And that’s were I got my ibex hide, shortly before Christmas. 🙂January 25, 2010 at 11:18 pm #786766That is a really nice house. It seems really cozy. I love the coloring of the wood.
January 25, 2010 at 11:36 pm #786767I love the deadly snow and I don’t blame you for your poor car won’t able to drive up. D: My boyfriend have the same issue once when he drove his friend to his girlfriend’s house in another state. And the house looks very welcoming and cozy. 😀
January 26, 2010 at 4:25 am #786768Oh wow, the floor is gorgeous! Thanks for sharing more pics, GB! 🙂
January 27, 2010 at 7:30 am #786769Looks cozy, even with minimal furnishings.
January 28, 2010 at 6:26 am #786770Whee, all the housewares I’ve ordered are slowly but surely showing up! I got my new mattresses (I have two built-in beds) and my wall-to-wall bookshelf this week, so I’m going to drag a brother or two and a friend up to the chalet on Sunday to install it all. So excited!
January 28, 2010 at 5:51 pm #786771Nice, of course we want pics of all the progress. 😀 And I love the wood floors, it looks so homey.
February 8, 2010 at 7:14 am #786772My library. It’s wonderful having shelf space! I did realize, though, that the next bookcase I get for one of the other walls needs to have really tall spaces in it, to fit my art books and old Bibles.
February 8, 2010 at 1:57 pm #786773The floors are beautiful. I have hardwood floors myself and I love them. How long will it take you to fill up that bookcase? But what I really like is the ceiling! I want one like that.
