I am glad to hear she is doing better Em. 😀 I was wondering about her.
And the kitten food works wonders! 😉

her eating is a good sign, take care and give her a pet from me. 🙂 Hopefully she’ll recover nicely and feel good again soon.

🙁 I’m sorry to say this but you know that if she doesn’t get better eventualy you might have to make a decision.
        She could be hurting.
I’m not saying this to discourage you but sometimes we need to get back to reality.

I am very aware of this. I think about it every day. A lot is depending on what the results of the blood tests are. It’s a day by day thing. If she starts getting too bad, I’ll consider it more seriously.

I know cats don’t live forever, but there’s a part of me that can’t imagine being without her. She’s such a part of me and my life. But the last thing I want is for her to suffer for my own selfishness. I’m not that kind of a person.

😯 I’m not saying you are. 🙁 I just know how hard it is to let go when we are that attached.
It’s like losing a child I guess you could say.
I had a hard time making that decision.
Brought her in at the vet and hasked her one last time if there was any hope….then I fell appart.
We never forget that special cat.

Oh, I know I’ll be a blubbering mess when that day comes, whether she goes naturally or at the vet. I already get teared up about it. I told my good friend yesterday that Katie was sick, so my friend could come and visit her (she’s one of my sitters, the vet assistant one), and I got all teared up. She’s going to come by today. She also does psychic pet readings – more intuition than anything. But she’s always been accurate with my kitties. Maybe she can tell me something about Katie’s condition.

That’s interesting! Tell us what she says, I am curious myself!

The weird thing is, Katie looks bright and cheerful today. She’s being social and eating. Maybe she just had a big hairball (we found one hacked up on the floor the other day) and now she feels better. I just hope she puts on a little weight again.

I am glad to hear Katie Boo is feeling better please give her a great big hug from me

I know Katie Boo is a cat and Tristen is a dog but when he is sick and doesn’t want to eat I fix him grilled chicken, broccoli, cauliflower, and asparagus with a little grilled seasoning and he will eat it and my vet says the veggies are good for him. You might try cooked veggies.

Thanks. But she won’t eat it. The hubby got her some turkey baby food and I put some out for her. She smelled it and made a gagging face, then turned to her kitten food and ate that instead. The other cats ate the baby food. 😆

She’s very particular. She used to really like pizza crust and bread, but when she asked for some of my pizza crust last night, she wouldn’t eat it when I gave it to her. So I know she’s still not “normal” yet.

I’m glad she seems to be feeling better…give her a hug from me too. I’ll be a mess when my girls go too..when that day comes. I hope it’s a long way off for you. Our two oldest cats I got after my miscarraige when we first got married. Kashka and Andromeda are both nine years old. 🙂

Veggies in large quantities aren’t good for cats… they are carnivores, and dogs classify as omnivores (like us). That’s also why you really can’t mix their food, neither will get the nutrients they need, because they have such different diets.
