Actually, my son Ted is the only Texas boy in our family. I’m English (only a Brit would start a sentence with the horribly abused word “Actually”, so you can be pretty sure I’m telling the truth); Linda is… well, she’s American, but would fail the “Texas boy” label on almost all counts. All that aside, though, many thanks for the welcome.
This is waaayy off topic, but I love the British accent. Is it true that all Brits like to drink tea or is coffee becoming more popular?
all the Brits I’ve met….absolutely hate tea….I don’t know about Dave though…..never asked him about that…
November 17, 2006 at 8:08 pm #509308No one parties like the Brits!

I could have sworn you had asked me about that. Anyway, I do like the occasional nice pot of tea, but my method for making it involes laughing at the “let stand for 5 minutes” instruction on the packet, and allowing the tea bag to come into contact with the boiling water for a maximum of 5 seconds. No milk or sugar. Most of the time I drink coffee. No cream or sugar.

Actually I’ve been known to do that myself. Must be the whole British-owning-Canada junk..
November 19, 2006 at 5:24 am #509311Dave, offtopic, but I’m Canadian and abuse the word Actually and so do many of the people I know 😛

I think my mom asked you….she came with me for one of the pocket dragon club things….it was before she got really sick….she was so fascinated with everything….but had to sit down the entire time…because she had already started feeling the effects of everything that was coming later….
she had a great time there though…and so did I…but with all that’s happened since….I haven’t been able to buy much of anything….and that’s no fun
