Well, I’ve just hit a major snag…. My PYO came in damaged. I’ll either have to paint over one of my partially done PYOs or get another…. The mail has been extreemly slow lately and I don’t think I can afford to get another….
I just had to laugh when I opened the package. It’s really quite neat what happened. I think I’m keeping it but, I don’t think I should use it for the swap.
Oh no! Did you let Susie know?
February 5, 2008 at 5:40 pm #651439I sent an email to Susie first thing. I’m just waiting a response. It’s not that big a deal. Just a bad time…
February 5, 2008 at 5:47 pm #651440She’ll probably send you another one to replace this one. You shouldn’t have to pay for another one; I got a damaged kirin once, and she sent me another one to replace it.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I host the feedback lists, which are maintained by drag0nfeathers.
http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmFebruary 6, 2008 at 7:11 am #651441Both my dragon PYOs – my first
– came in with their right-hand horns broken clean off. I didn’t tell Susie because I figured she’d want to replace them at no cost to me, but an expense for Windstone. Both PYOs were gifts, and I let the recipients know about the break. I can glue them back on so the dragons look fine, but now I’m not too gung-ho about ordering any more dragon PYOs. (It doesn’t help that I’ve found I don’t really care for them anyway. I prefer the griffins and kirins.)
February 6, 2008 at 4:41 pm #651442Gosh, I’m sorry to hear that they got damaged, GB! I haven’t had a PYO get crunched in the mail yet (knock wood) and I’ve ordered quite a few of the little dragons. But admittedly they don’t have as far to travel to reach me. I hope the dragons absorbed all of the bad shipping luck
and that your future shipments travel safely!
February 9, 2008 at 8:47 pm #651443Well my swap piece is offically finished.
February 9, 2008 at 8:50 pm #651444Mine is here, but not started. I plan to get on it today.

February 9, 2008 at 8:53 pm #651445I finally decided on what to paint and it will be here Monday.
February 9, 2008 at 9:26 pm #651446I hope mine gets here soon. But, it’ll probably get here in a few weeks. Then I’ll have to scramble to paint it on time. I hate tight finish times.

I had a couple arrive damaged, too, but they were replaced for me. One of the keepers I ordered has both horns broken off and I dont think I can do a good enough glue job to fix it.
My swap peice should be waiting for me at the PO. I will get it tomorrow.

Too bad Windstone couldn’t send him to me after replacing him…I want him!
I’m terrible…I see damaged dragons on eBay and think…ooohh..I can fix that…want! But I usually can’t afford him by the time bidding is over, even broken they go over what I feel they should cost.

February 10, 2008 at 3:42 pm #651449I started painting my PYO piece yesterday. I think it looks really nice so far. I’m trying something new, so it’s been a challenge. I can’t say more cause I don’t want to give it away.
February 10, 2008 at 7:44 pm #651450i got base flat colors on mine.
February 11, 2008 at 1:39 am #651451Just wanted to stop in and say hi to everyone!
I KNOW I have been gone a LONG time, I havent been well at all, couldnt paint and I even lost my job because of it..(Fibromyalgia) (I knew it was coming). So depression was/is evedent
I see I have missed the PYO swap this time, dangit…sorry guys and gals. Maybe if there is still someone that needs to be painted for, maybe I can join last minute for someone? I have some PYO pieces in my room that havent been painted, because I havent been able to paint at ALL until just last week. Maybe I can paint something not too complex for someone?
(**hopes** hehe!
)
I DO miss painting so VERY badly.
ANYHOW, I just wanted to pop in and say HI guys and gals! Good to see you all again!!!
February 11, 2008 at 2:58 am #651452It’s good to see you, DC!!
I’m glad you are able to paint, even if it’s something simple. Hopefully, they can squeeze you into the swap. I’m not involved in it, myself. Simple is all I can paint on a regular basis (read no talent ).
