I’ve got my mare Silhouette up on Marestare and I need watchers.
She’s not due until the 28th of Feb, but the vet says definately will be early this time. She’s showing all the signs and I’m really hoping I’ll be there for the birth.
She’s a Section A Welsh pony and the sire of the foal is Frodo. We’re very excited about this!
So if anyone is bored at anytime have a look. Call the numbers on the screen if you think she’s going into labor. Doesn’t matter what time!
Thanks!

Thats really cool 🙂
January 30, 2011 at 2:42 am #836853What a neat idea! Hope you’re able to be there when the foal is born! 🙂
January 30, 2011 at 2:49 am #836854I’ll have to bookmark it so I can come back and watch her later.
January 30, 2011 at 3:37 am #836855That’s cool. I’ll try to make it a routine to check in on her 🙂
January 30, 2011 at 3:45 am #836856I am dreadfully ignorant when it comes to horses. Are there signs she is going into labor (other than the obvious) that idiots like me can see? 😳

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 30, 2011 at 4:24 am #836857LOL. No, not reliably. LOL
Shifting weight from leg to leg, flagging tail, tucking tail, laying down and getting up repeatedly, laying flat out on her side.
Pacing… Two feet coming out her hind end… 😆January 30, 2011 at 4:59 am #836858Phoenix wrote:Two feet coming out her hind end… 😆
That’s probably about where I’d figure it out……. 😆

January 30, 2011 at 9:27 pm #836861I used to work on an Arabian breeding farm. I worked 5 nights a week doing the foaling. I must have seen a few hundred foals born but never got tired of it! 🙂
January 30, 2011 at 9:59 pm #836862Cool. She has got to be uncomfortable. I THINK I can see the foal shifting.
January 30, 2011 at 10:02 pm #836863Yeah, she’s pretty uncomfortable. Last night we were ready to head to the barn after she was showing signs of contractions for about 10 minutes and then got up and started eating.
This morning we were alerted she was having more contractions (very thankful to the watcher :bye: )
I’m hoping this means she’ll go soon and not do this to me for another month! LOL.

Actually, she IS uncomfortable. And I AM seeing movement. Just an FYI, she’s lifting her back legs up intermittently and lifting her tail.
