I never thought about it that way either. Has anyone see that forum member on lately? I can’t remember who it was and don’t feel like looking for the thread.
It was Aetharia. She posted a few days ago in the flea market, regarding something someone was trying to sell.
I just checked the posts by her, and the last was about that oriental she was trying to sell back on 4/29. That must have been what I was thinking of originally.

Snap isn’t here all the time as he’s wildly busy, but if I see mention of this sort of situation again, I will not hesitate to modify posts and send warnings. Sending unsolicited emails to sellers/buyers that are not in a business agreement with you is not only against our forum rules (no harassment) but can be illegal. Don’t play around here folks.

Something wasn’t right with that situation. We only really wanted photos of the PYOs so we could try and identify things. I wasn’t responded to via email either.

Are you serious? You can’t sue for damages without contract for exchange of goods or services. Did the seller send you an invoice? Doubtful. An email saying “I’ll sell you this” has zero effect in a courtroom. Without audit, evidence is useless – and the only way you could possibly, even begin to audit such a trail would involve both yours and his ISP.

Since you skipped the content of the posts, do me just one favor. Take a camera with you when go to ‘file charges’ against this guy, so we can see the look on the face of the clerk you talk to.
I’m sorry I posted the email in the first place, I just thought it would be a better indication of who he is. I didn’t mean to cause so much upheavel and I don’t condone flaming.

holy moly! 😯 😯 😯 just found this and wow did it veer off into outer space since I last saw! Theives and greed are one of the few facts in life though…and the scammer probably did cheat a whole bucketful of other folk. At this point I would just kiss the money goodbye and give some well needed relief to your stress levels by forgetting it. We lost 150 bucks to a scammer over a white male dragon last year…the money’s gone. The best to do now is to be smarter than the theives, and protect yourself from this in the future…it sucks, but that’s life. A forum smack would only affect them if they cared what we thought…and I can promise you, they dont. well, there’s my two cents. 😉
