My Mom,Sis, and I saw it earlier this week.
I was squeeling with excitement when I saw the first advertisement for it!!! and the movie was PERFECT! it fit the story and character perfectly! the way megatron and optimus spoke to one another was right on with the originals and the HUMOR was perfect! I am soooo going to see it again!
Wolfen just told me it was agood movie and I should see it. I think I’ll make a point to do so in Colorado.
All right, so I gotta admit, when I heard there was going to be a Transformers movie I didn’t think I’d ever want to see it. I mean, I wasn’t really a fan of them when I was a kid, I never watched the cartoon…
However, the other day BiPolarBear kidnapped me and we went to go see it– MY GOODNESS! That movie was INCREDIBLE. I really, really liked it, and I’d see it again in a heartbeat. It was funny and well-done and everything about it was excellent. It’s refreshing to see that the world can still produce decent sci-fi movies!
And… I’ve decided that my dream car would definitely be a tow-truck with a giant robot strapped to the back of it. Fwoosh!

😆 Good timing, Ski! I just got back from watching it too!!! I agree, it was totally awesome!!! I really hope they make sequels!!! 😀 (after all Star Scream did escape. :wink:)

HA! I just PMd you asking what you thought and then figured I should see if you posted here. I was wondering if anything came after the credits, like on Pirates. I didnt want to wait, though.

Starscream and Barricade living is a hint at the original Transformers movie. If you ever followed the original Transformers, you know what is the come and why those two survived 😉

I think Barricade is a movie original Decepticon. He was never featured in the cartoon. Or at least, not the Generation 1 cartoon. And Starscream died in that movie.
I love G1, but part of the reason I adore this movie is because it *ISN’T* the original cartoon. I doubt we have any idea what’s going to happen next save for Screamer coming back with reinforcements.

Oh okay, so you remember it clearly then? That was something a friend actually told me, so I could only go with it. I honestly don’t remember all that much about the original series since I was so young at the time. Cool. I’ll ask my friend again about it. Maybe I just simply misunderstood what they were staying 😳
I did a search on wiki though and it says Barricade is an original G1 Transformer. “Barricade first featured in 1990 as part of a Decepticon race track patrol team, his vehicle mode being a formula one racing car.”
Am I remembering correctly that Megatron gets killed, but comes back as Garatron? Or Galvatron or something like that? I asked two co-workers about that and both said they too remember something like that… but we’re all so fuzzy. Might as well ask someone who would know!
