Alright, I bit the bullet and decided to categorize the leopard appaloosas according to their SPOT colors. So in other words:
Jenny: is BROWN
whereas
Incense: is BLACK.
If anyone has any better suggestions for ANY of the unicorns in the Directory, please bring it up here and I’ll see about changing it around 🙂
As of right now, the Palominos are the last group that need individual pages. I’ll be working on that tomorrow 🙂

July 7, 2011 at 12:43 am #850277Thank you so much etruscan! 😀
I just went through and counted, and there are 82 Grab Bags on the page so far! Still missing some from both batches, and of course not counting future releases XD

Pretty please, if you have a unicorn or at one time had it, please do me a favor and check for it in the Directory and make sure that I have the correct information for the eye/gem colors! It would be a HUGE help, since it’s hard for me to see the gems in particular on most pieces, and I don’t like to guess unless I’m at least 90% sure of a color 🙂
In any case, I’d love to hear any feedback on the page and even if you disagree with the placement of some unicorns in certain categories – I am still totally open to suggestion 🙂 Thanks!!

Can anyone tell me the specific gem colors for any of the following unicorns? (I put my guess in parentheses next to it):
Hutzpah (amethyst?)
Orpheus (jonquil?)
Pangea (aquamarine?)
Rosetta (topaz?)
Tulip (jonquil?)
Wasseau (amethyst?)
Cameron (red?)As a quick reference, I’m referring to the gems by the names of their colors. If you own one of these guys and don’t know what the name of the gem color is, this may help:
Pink – “Light Amethyst”
Light Blue – “Aquamarine”
White – “Crystal”
Purple – “Amethyst”
Red – “Light Siam”
Dark Blue – “Sapphire”
Gold – “Topaz”
Yellow – “Jonquil”
Green – “Olivine”
Teal – “Blue Zircon”The topaz and jonquil can be very easily confused! I have several of each color and I sometimes have a hard time telling them apart even when they are right next to each other! The way that I can tell a difference is that jonquil is a definite yellow color, and it’s a bit lighter where topaz is almost brown and sparkles gold.
Thanks very much!!

September 22, 2011 at 10:28 pm #857541Drudging this baby up again as we prepare for an onslaught of new GBY unicorn pictures and squee threads for the forum!
Please, if you would like your unicorn to be added to the directory (because yes, I WILL be updating it!!), please please please post pictures of the uni HERE in this thread (its fine if you post in 2 places, but it’s a pain for me to go through threads and try to find people’s unis when I’ve gotten permission to use their photos!) – the bigger, the better, you can even email them to me!
All I need is:
1. As many shots of your uni as you want! I take 5-6 of my own. Make them big!! If you want to send me the original (largest) photos I’d be happy to resize them for the directory for you 🙂
2. The name of your unicorn, as shown on the felt pad!
3. The color( s ) of the gems and eyes in your uni – sometimes its hard to tell between things like light blue and periwinkle in photographs.
4. Permission to use your photos on my website (located at http://www.deadbunny.org/gby)!
I REALLY can’t wait to start updating the directory, and any help I can get would be SO awesome!! I will start PMing people if I don’t hear from them but it’s sooo helpful if people don’t mind making a little extra post here for me 🙂 Thank you!!!

September 23, 2011 at 5:06 am #857628Can’t wait to see them all <3
September 27, 2011 at 1:12 am #858175I just got “Damian” *snicker*
September 27, 2011 at 1:24 am #858174Of course you have permission to use my pretty pretty ponies for the database!
Star is this beauty’s name! She has crystal jewels and periwinkle eyes. and pink hooves!! /squeeeeThis is Vatu. He was a topaz jewel on this collar under his neck and a blue zircon on his display side. His eyes are (I think!) metallic teal (I can see sparklies in the eyes, that’s metallic then, right?)
More shots of him, the flash and putting him right under a lamp shows how coppery/metallic his skin looks, but the non-flash on the dark background shows a better idea of how his coat looks without catching the light. I’ve taken sooo many pics of these guys, I’m such a proud mommy.
