GB Cougar show off thread

[Mercury Star]

I got my cougar today. He is the “burnt” tiger, the one in the 2nd class photo that is black on his fore parts, and a pale tiger on his body. I had noticed him in the factory photo, and when the class photos came out… he was not in my top wants, but I thought he was nice enough.

Now that I have him in hand though… He is perfect for me! The thing that caught me, and made me decide that he can’t leave me, is these faint streaks in the black area on his right shoulder. It made me think of my cat, Corbin, who has some white hairs along his shoulder and neck that almost form faint stripes, like tabby “necklace”. So yeah, this guy is here to stay!

His eyes are copper with a gold smudge in each one, and the black kind of fades to brown and blends into the tiger part. His tiger area is very pale, with most of the color on the top parts, brown, fading into tan and then cream, and most of his stripes are a soft black. Very handsome all around.

Yours sounds cool Mercury Star. It would be neat to see pictures! Well mine finally arrived in Richmond and cleared customs last night so it should be here by Wed. I am hoping.

Mercury Star, it’s nice to hear that you have a special connection to your cougar. I had wondered where the “burnt hot pocket” cougars (as Melody dubbed them LOL) ended up. I think they’re neat.

I really need to get some pics of my new cougar trade outside. I didn’t realize it last night but he has a ton of sparkle paint over his back. It’s so pretty!

Congrats you guys…looks like you all lucked out and got Cougars you were drooling over. I love it when trading works out :). Natasha, i almost want to say yours reminds me a little of a cuttlefish…just a little. I love that its a fantasy scheme but resembles something natural. Great grabs everyone! Ive enjoyed this thread because of how excited everyone is. … Alas, this sculpt just doesnt make my heart skip.

Hallelujah! The wait is finally over. 😀 It felt like it took forever for my grab bag cougar to arrive, but what a grab I got! I received an absolutely STUNNING Maltese tiger. I am so happy. I’ll be honest, this cougar wasn’t on my radar at all. I totally overlooked it in the group photo, but in person? I love it. I am 99.9% sure that this guy is in his forever home.

Bullsquid, yours is stunning. I didn’t want a cougar with the “normal” tiger coloring, but that white tiger is a different story; he is just beautiful.

I received this cougar today as part of a blind trade from the Store. Unlike my first cougar, this one looks like her picture; she’s in the top row of page 5, fourth from the left.

She’s one of the more natural cougars. She looks pretty close to her picture, but both the class picture and my pictures tend to accentuate her stripes; they are a bit lighter in person.

While she is pretty, and I do like her face, this little lady will be looking for a new home. I prefer the cougars with more contrast, and there are so many cougars I like.
