My next foo pup will probably be based on a betts like this http://betta-fish-care.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/bettafishcaretips.jpg
What color eyes would go best with that coloration?
i would think medium blue myself =)
August 16, 2012 at 3:52 am #884895The little blue foo I have is listed on ebay :3 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300764062144#ht_755wt_1139

Got my first foo pup and I’m painting him now XD my planned color scheme went to the wayside because he was begging to be painted in my wedding colors….tomorrow I should have him sealed and with his eyes in ^^ and ready to share
August 16, 2012 at 4:34 am #884899Loove the tea! It really shows the details of the sculpture well!
Check out my finished artwork at http://falcolf.deviantart.com/ and my sketch/studio blog at http://rosannapbrost.tumblr.com/
Excellent!
August 16, 2012 at 5:39 am #884904omg I love the tea!! He’s gorgeous! 😀
August 16, 2012 at 6:45 am #884907Thank you for your compliments! It’s so funny. I think my little “Tea” Foo Pup came out nicely, but my boyfriend took one look at him and said, “…You should have painted him blue. Foo Pups are blue. They want to be blue. It’s their favorite color.” And then he started scrolling through all the pictures on here and pointed out all the pups with blue on them. In the end, he turned to me and said, “See? Blue. Foo Pups like blue and your Foo Pup has no blue. Now he’s sad that he’s not blue. So make him blue! And then he will be happy. Because he will be blue…” <3
I don’t know what his sudden obsession with Blue Foo Dogs is all about, but it did make me laugh. So now, I want to paint a Blue Foo Dog and give it to him. Since painting with Tea worked out so nicely, maybe I’ll give blue Kool-Aid a try! (He’ll surely smell super yummy if I do that!) Hahaha… 🙂

Oh man XD well, he’ll certainly be sticky. And if he disappears in the night you know the local ant population will have a new god/snack to worship.
Might be better to use blue water colors or food dye

Hahahaha! You know what came to mind when I read this? The song I’m blue by Eiffel 65…
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

Thanks:) That’s what I was thinking. Too bad the metallic lavender doesn’t come in foo puppy size!
August 16, 2012 at 3:20 pm #884923Thank you for the suggestions, Amy Jane! Believe it or not, if you mix unsweetened kool-aid packets with water, you can create wonderful, non-sticky watercolor paint! (Who would have thought that you can actually paint with kool-aid, right?!) And it leaves your artwork smelling so nice! I remember having to use it when I was younger in one of my art classes. I was so surprised at how well it turned out! 🙂

-And Dragonmelody, that’s brilliant! It completely reminds me of that song too! Maybe after I paint my next Foo-Pup like this, I’ll wrap him up in in a blue box with blue tissue paper and stick a blue bow on it. Then I’ll make a blue card and write it out with a blue marker and give it to him while playing “Blue” by Eiffel 65 in the background. Maybe if I do all of that, my boyfriend will finally be satisfied! Hahaha… 😉August 16, 2012 at 3:30 pm #884927Thank you for the suggestions, Amy Jane! I remember using koolaid to dye my hair once, fun temporary way to do it, though it worked on my blonde friend way better, was still a fun crazy thing for a couple tweens to do lol
August 16, 2012 at 3:55 pm #884928Some teas are a blue tint! I think it’s hibiscus but I may be wrong. I’ll find out.
August 16, 2012 at 5:51 pm #884942I can’t believe how much talent everyone has! These little puppies are so cute and tiny! (I wonder how small they are compared to their mothers)

I don’t know… There used to be Kool-Aide powder that was unsweetened–did they stop making that? He might smell like blue raspberry, though.
August 16, 2012 at 6:54 pm #884945All you need are some traditional, tiny, 0.16 ounce packets of Kool-Aid that you find in any supermarket! Although it’s not advertised on the cover, they actually don’t have any sugar in them because you’re supposed to add it in later when you make the mixture!
So if you just add water to the powder, it creates a scented (and flavored) watercolor. And the scent wouldn’t bother me at all! The little Tea pup has a very light, almost non-existent scent to him, but it’s actually very pleasant!
