It doesn’t look that bad really..but it’s hard to tell detail in almost any pic…that said..I wouldn’t mind any new dragons she decided to make… 😉
This is OT, but I can’t tell you how useful that pic in your sig has been to me when trying to compare all the diff sizes of each piece… you don’t have a bigger version do you ? 😀
yes.. I have the bigger version on my computer… I just had to make it smaller to fit on the forum…

As a side note..what is the hierarchy of the Dragons ?
Emp and Empresses are diff than the reg hatchling which hatches out into a standard Mother or Father Dragon right ? The Emps become the adult Emperor and adult Empress… where do the Old Warriors and Laps fit in ? The Spectrals seem to be a breed of their own.
I have always wondered this too??I always imagined that the spectrals were just that… ghosts of dead dragons (hence the weird eyes). Since spectral is another reference to a ghostly apparation of some kind, it’s probably safe to assume that when a dragon dies, it turns into a spectral…
But that’s just how I think of it… I wouldn’t mind hearing other theories! Or if I’m right or completely off the hook…lol

That’s an interesting idea! I like it. 🙂

Really, in addition to all the reasons mentioned above..the sculpt is already done or mostly done ( never know when you want to tweak something before painting.. 😉 ) , all the female dragons are in laying positions right ? Except for the SK that is, so it also fits there.. indoor..outdoor..I’d get it eventually..I’m behind right now as it is..lol
How difficult would it be to issue it in both outdoor and indoor pieces ? Would the cost be too much ? I don’t think we are going to be setting up a casting dept. for the outdoor material again very soon, if at all. We have our hands full with casting the gypsum. Plus, It seems that almost nobody bought the cement Rock dragons with the intention of using them outside anyway, so it is kinda crazy to bother with it!
The reason I didn’t want to do the same pieces in indoor and outdoor material is that I was afraid that it would be confusing. You can keep cement inside, but you can’t keep gypsum outside. I didn’t want to take the chance that people would put the wrong ones outside..
The “Garden Dragon” ( I’ll need to change her name)
has a rough “stone” finish, like the gargoyles. To make her into a fine finish dragon, each scale will need to be sanded and polished. I normally do that for all the fine finish dragons, but to start with one that was intentionally made extra rough …oy vey, that is lots of work!December 26, 2008 at 11:46 pm #747397frozendragon wrote:Blade-of-the-Moon wrote:It doesn’t look that bad really..but it’s hard to tell detail in almost any pic…that said..I wouldn’t mind any new dragons she decided to make… 😉

When I first saw one them it was in white and then I saw I the name so I thought ” Ghost Dragon ” same as you.. 😀 Maybe they could also be Spirit Dragons, like after a dragon passes they re-incarnate into these guys.. there is a whole basis for a story there.. 😉

Really I plan to get both Rock Dragons but they won’t end up outside..pets, children and weather just seems too risky when I can simply place them near the houseplants indoors…maybe you can just release them in the gypsum..I’d hate to see em’ discontinued.
Would the sanding or sculpting a whole new dragon be more difficult ? That answer could tell you wether it’s worth it or not , though I could see getting her after I get an OW… 😉 I might have to concentrate on those Rock Dragons to if they are going to be discontinued.. 🙁
Off topic again, but are there going to be more SKs made for the store eventually ? She is at the end of a long road of Dragons for me to get ( maybe shorter if you ever get em’ hollowed out a bit.. lol ) but I was hoping so.

I have BUT ONLY during really wet winters like when I get the windstone kick about 3 years ago. I was able to drop about $5,000 that winter and got my 2 23KT Gold Leaf hatching Empresses 1 23KT Gold Leaf OW and the BG, Ruby and Rainbow Famlies, Emperor, Male, Mother, Fledgling, Young and hatchers all in a 6 week time frame😮 wow…that’s every version I own plus all the others at once ! I hope your collection is insured bro… lol
Though I do wonder..what does the dampness of the winter have to do with it ? Maybe your a coat salesman eh ? 😆
Sorry most people here already know
I work full time for at&t as a dispatcher and when it rains the ground turns to mud and the cable under ground that have all the copper lines will shift or of moisture gets in them it causes all the phone lines to go out and the tech’s have toe work 12-14 hours a day and as tech support I get those hours too. The first 40 hours are regular time 40-49 are time and a half and over 49 is double time so I can make 1/2 my yearly income in 2-3 monthsDecember 27, 2008 at 1:39 am #747401Melody wrote:Blade-of-the-Moon wrote:This one would work for an outdoor piece as well, not that many ever actually make outdoors anyway right ? 😀

Would it be more to completley redo a new dragon from scratch??December 27, 2008 at 1:40 am #747402December 27, 2008 at 3:26 am #747403Dragon Master wrote:Blade-of-the-Moon wrote:Dragon Master wrote:Blade-of-the-Moon wrote:Heh.. I’ll be happy with one myself .. that goes for an Emperor as well… 😀

Quote:I want all 3 in the store now too.
I just need one..lol..but out of the three..I was kind of leaning toward the Rainbow myself…or if it’s released in Red Fire…well..that would be tempting… 😀
December 27, 2008 at 6:06 am #747404I would love to get a SK, but I can’t reaaly afford to get even an Emperor, not unless I can do some major digging and even then not really 🙁 . The only way I could ever afford a SK is if I could do layaway on it. As for the color I would choose, I love the Rainbow, but the classic Peacock is also tempting. I actually would love to see some new colors hit the store. Autumn Leaf squeek* is my production dream color – it looks lovely on the SK 😉 . I also would love to see her done in a pretty ‘girly’ color like pearly lavander, purhaps. If I did ever get a SK, she would be my only SK, so I want to make sure she was the perfect color (autumn leaf, autumn leaf, autumn leaf…).
December 27, 2008 at 6:33 am #747405Ditto that I would love to see some new colors hit the store as well… 😉
And as for the out door dragons Melody I own the Large Garden Dragon and I can’t even think of putting her outside…I’d be afraid that smone might steal her or that she might get damaged so I keep her inside the house…she is really stunning tho and I love how bug she is… 🙂

December 27, 2008 at 8:26 am #747406LOL, ditto that mmloda on the fear of getting a stolen windstone…besides, you can appreciate the Garden Dragon more if she is safe and sound inside the house. Well kinda safe – my hubby has accidently knocked few of my guys over a few times. No damage, but a few scary moments 😮 😆 .
December 27, 2008 at 8:34 pm #747407That’s another good reason not to put them outside.. but we still have kids that bash mailboxes and smash pumpkins on Halloween…so that scares me as much as getting it stolen. I have garden art..but it was uber cheap..like 10-20.00 so I don’t much mind there…but a 100.00 dragon would be too hard to swallow.. 🙁
