I JUST noticed this on the front page. Where did that CB Ribbon come from? 0_o I was kind of newB-ish, and I remember getting the Snow Angel, but now I think about it I DO remember being excited about getting one and it didn’t show up on my scroll. What is really bumming me is that there isn’t really anything I can do about it; A- its kind of late, B-I can’t prove it, and C- the forum mods are scary (unless you can contact TJ, which is as bad as asking for the number of a movie star). I COULD’VE HAD AN ALT!! :(( *needs *
July 21, 2011 at 2:29 pm #677330OK the Dragon Nursery has been VERY helpful for the dragon parents here.
It has gone off my original concept though
I was thinking of a one stop click shop so I came up with this idea
I will monitor the eggs and hatchers here. To get added just PM me the code and I will add them with your name. As they grow up I will remove the code and that way no matter how long this thread gets all the eggs and hatchers will all still be on the first page.
Come here first thing as you log on click away on one page and you are good for the day.
Just PM me with your code and I will take care of the rest. I got tired of removing my adult dragons from the Nursery as they grew up
Please do not add your dragons here unless you have them in your signature so we can keep this thread clean
I will start

October 31, 2011 at 4:38 am #861327The latest Halloween eggs are out. Go get ’em!
October 31, 2011 at 4:54 pm #861351Lol, I can’t resist. This looks like fun!
October 31, 2011 at 6:43 pm #861365aaaaaah the site is congested!!!
November 18, 2011 at 12:38 am #862917I keep trying to get a female so I can have a breeding pair, but I’m at 3 males now!
November 18, 2011 at 12:47 am #862920If I get an extra female of something I would be willing to send her your way >.< I don't have a lot yet, but my wing is growing
November 18, 2011 at 2:06 am #862938Thanks!
I currently only have one grown male and two male hatchlings although I just got another egg, so we’ll see how it goes… 🙂

I have a bunch of pink dragons the ones with influence I could send a male and female your way 😀
makes it easier to get a breeding pair 😀November 18, 2011 at 12:34 pm #862978That would be much appreciated. 🙂
I’m a newbie at this though so you’ll have to explain how that works?November 18, 2011 at 11:26 pm #863049Stupid question. I can’t figure out how you know when to hatch an egg?
And how do you hatch it?
*** so confused ***
November 18, 2011 at 11:51 pm #863050They hatch on their own with enough views/unique views and clicks  I am new too and wondered pretty much the same thing so don’t feel bad 😉
November 19, 2011 at 9:57 am #863085Eggs hatch at 4 days or less. The less time they have the less views they need. I like using self serve hatcheries to hatch my eggs. You just enter your scroll name and select which eggs you want to add. My favorite is Silvi’s lair. It’s usually the only one I need. I find in Silvi’s they gain views slow enough that eggs don’t get sick but fast enough that they hatch fairly close to 4 days.
here’s the link: http://lair.silverdrak.de/index.php
P.S. If anyone needs/wants a certain type of egg just let me know and I’ll try and breed you one if I can. I have most dragons and most have short if any lineages.
November 19, 2011 at 4:01 pm #863098…most have short if any lineages.
Is that an advantage or a disadvantage?
I was wondering why 2 of my 3 adults don’t have any parents listed while the first one’s lineage goes back 5 generations…
Is it that 2 dragons of the same breed without any mixed lineage are guaranteed to produce an offspring of the same breed?

Short lineages are an advantage for trading. People often like short, neat lineages. They can be purebred or have interesting patterns, or come from “famous” lineages. Famous lineages are sought after, no matter the length, but “messy” lineages do turn off some collectors. An example of a famous lineage is a “Thuwed” lineage, which contains one or more ancestors with Thuwed in its name–Thuwed is one of TJ’s (the site owner/creator) lineage names.
Dragons with no parents listed are “cave born.” That is, they come from the main cave and not the abandoned page. For some breeds, this can be very rare. For others, not so much. Cave born (or CB) are nice to have to start your own lineages.
2 dragons of the same breed, no matter their ancestry, will always produce the same breed, with a couple of exceptions (example here: http://dragcave.net/lineage/IXjk). The only parentage that counts is the immediate parentage for the kind of offspring you’ll get. If you have 2 different breeds of parents, for the most part you’ll get one or the other breed in the offspring. However, with some pairings, you can get a third breed. For example, an orange (Magi, I think they’re technically called) and a water will give you a koi dragon (example here: http://dragcave.net/lineage/fAAJ and here (longer lineage) http://dragcave.net/lineage/GgJJ).
Some dragons have special powers. If you click on one of your dragons and select “actions,” any special powers will show up there. For example, koi dragons have “splash.” If you use splash, you will eventually get a goldfish trophy on your dragon scroll. Pink dragons can influence the sex of an egg. That’s handy for making pairings that you want. There are others, as well.
Have fun!
