Surprised me as well and I got one–don’t know how many there were but when I came back into the store after getting mine, they were already gone! I don’t know how many or when they came out. There were no posts from Susie on the forum saying that they were in the store either–they were just there! Well, I did get notice that mine has been shipped so I’ll get it Friday. But they went so fast there wasn’t time to think about picking up another one for someone! There is a note on the item saying that there will be plenty more to come so I’m hoping that everyone who wants one will get one eventually. 🙂
It would be nice if they waited till they had quite a few items in stock before putting them in the store. It’s frustrating for the people who can’t camp the store 24/7 when something we want comes out, and only 5 or so of that item comes out so we have below zero of a chance to get the item. Why not wait until there are maybe 20 or so?
I know there are probably reasons why they can’t wait, but still. It would be nice.

That’s the way I feel too, and what I was told was that at least part of it is because there’s less space in the Oregon factory. They just can’t stockpile loads of everything, and they need to keep stock on hand for retailers. :shrug: Though with something like these ‘salvage’ pieces, one might hope they wouldn’t have loads of poor castings to use to make them with, but… 🙄

….but it takes time to paint them, time to put them in the store, time to ship the things already sold….etc. etc. The fact of the matter is they don’t have much to offer us right now because of the casting issues other than “THERE WILL BE MORE LATER” Take solace in this fact. I have never known Windstone to say there will be more later and then not put up more later (with the exception of the casting issues going on right now where it’s just not feasable). I’m sure they’re as frustrated and disapointed as we are to not have enough product to sell to us all, keep that in mind and give it some time. I understand your ranting, but don’t take it out on Windstone and the wonderful people there with “I wish they would do this” or “They should do that”. Trust me, if they would they could.
😉 😉 Intellectually I understand about all the time and space invovled it’s just that i’m really, really, really, really impatient… 😳 😀
