I’ve had my motorcycle license for four years. I’ve owned a Kawasaki Vulcan and I currently have a Kawasaki Ninja.
Please just ride safe! It’s dangerous out there on two wheels.
September 25, 2007 at 8:38 pm #619867I don’t know a thing about bikes, but it looks really cool!!! π
September 26, 2007 at 12:32 am #619868Cool. I live if Florida and old ppl don’t look for bikes and that is what happened to me. No I shouldn’t have been going so fast but it was a car trying to pass another and he never saw me. His glasses were a 1/4 inch thick. I was lucky and did not even get a small bruise. My helmet saved my melon π . Seriously congrats you got an awesome bike. And the fool that wrecked in my neiborhood was standing on the seat,no helmet, and sandels on his feet doing 40 or more in 25, stupid.
September 26, 2007 at 3:53 am #619869Thanks, Lokie. I will drive carefully – especially in the winter!
Vapordragon – thank goodness you weren’t hurt! Yeah, the proper gear is important. Yesterday my brother and I went and bought mine. My helmet is really cool: a Schoei, safety class E6 – with an Oriental dragon on it! I’ll post pics when the bike gets here. All in all I spent over $800 on my protective gear, and all I’m missing are the boots. I even bought a back shield, or whatever they’re called… I didn’t skimp on bike safety!
September 26, 2007 at 11:16 am #619870you’ve the beaty of the unique and the beast of harley engine, fast riders u get your japa running out beat us in strianths but dont atempt to comeout of corners with our speed.
October 1, 2007 at 7:16 pm #619871Hello,
i ddint reply about rust on the bike the part you should check aobut rust are some of the xposed nuts such as from the exhaust headers, and the most exposed to the elements, the exhaust tends to rotten qute fast in wet weather, look in to that the metal of the exhaust is qite thin and the quality is quite poor, think on investing in an exhaust, but be aware that some need a remapping of the ecm i think : termingnoni doesent need it, but thats 700β¬+ euros
if any one in switzerland has a ecm spy sure they cna remap the ecm and buying a jardine would be 300β¬ but well time will say also being an xb 9 there r plenty of second hand original exhaust for a fraction of the price of a new one ( it hink original new one is 300β¬) well time nas the answer.
ride safe.October 2, 2007 at 5:07 am #619872frozendragon wrote:dragonmedley wrote:They are expensive. If we sold ours (as if that would ever happen), I think we could get around 20-25K CA for it. It’s a 2000.
hmm are we talking about a regular camaro?
GOSH, I thought you guys were talking about a bike! lolYAAAAYYY!! GB Got wheels!!! But yes, do drive carefully. I know that’s probably easier in Switzerland than in the states, because fewer people drive big cars. I’m sure motorcycles are the majority where you are. I knew of a girl on another forum I used to post at that got in a bad motorcycle accident with an SUV. It was the SUV’s fault, but she walked away with $10,000 and the equivilant of “LOTS of new Windstones”.
Everytime I heard/hear the word “Ninja” I thought of that poison green color and you. Just because you talked about it so much, I’m kinda sad to hear you didn’t get it, but, (since I know NOTHING about motorcycles, I will say what I can about the Bluell with honesty) it’s pretty!! π But that’s how I ended up with my Pontiac, sort of. It was there, and I could get it THAT DAY. Anything else would have to wait, go find another salesman, negotiate again, start the process over….blarg.
Anyway, TAKE SOME PICTURES of you next to it, when you get it. I’m so excited for you!

LOL
I like the buells….
but I saw a Ducati the other day…..hmm that’s more me…hehe
and ninja is so over rated to me…and that green….
π― talk about a puke color
October 2, 2007 at 5:50 am #619874What are you talking about, frozen? I love that Ninja green! π
I don’t like the Ducatis. They’re too fat.
The Buell should be coming home Thursday, and I’ll be sure to post pics to Photobucket. I can’t wait to drive that thing to work Friday morning!
Pontlee, thansk for the advice. I’ll have the replace the front tire in about 1000 km, so when I take it in for service I’ll ask about a better exhaust.
It’s so funny how everybody thinks the bike looks awesome. I guess I’m just a sucker for aerodynamic plastic. πOctober 2, 2007 at 4:03 pm #619875Greater Basilisk wrote:What are you talking about, frozen? I love that Ninja green! π

October 2, 2007 at 8:08 pm #619878We have a lot of Ninjas around here too, but for once, I like something popular despite its popularity. The first big bike I ever drove was a Ninja, and I just loved it.
October 2, 2007 at 8:26 pm #619879Ride whatever you like, as long as it makes you happy… π
