Pretty colors
September 12, 2012 at 2:50 am #886238That umi kirin is simply amazing. I just love that blush pink nose!
September 12, 2012 at 2:55 am #886239Oh how I am loving that pink nose! Kawaii! And your blending skills never cease to amaze!
September 12, 2012 at 8:48 am #886242That Ki-rin is incredibly pretty! But then, so is the rest of your PYOs. π
September 12, 2012 at 11:04 am #886245Beautiful work on that kirin! π
September 12, 2012 at 2:33 pm #886248Beautiful Kirin. π I love the colors!
September 12, 2012 at 3:41 pm #886235Here’s a commissioned kirin based off of “Umi”. She has some darker blue in her fur, a pink nose, and silver horn, hooves, and leg plates. She does have some creaminess to the light parts of her fur. She will be headed to her new home in a couple of days (when I get my car back… LOL). π
And teal is so much harder than purple to photograph properly! >.<

I have yet another kirin I will be posting pics of soon, as well as 2 commissioned pups, and a phoenix in progress. I have another phoenix lined up after that, and then I will be closed for commissions for a bit. I need to finish the maltese before I take on anymore. Must… not… get… distracted… by… new… stuffs. LOL.
I thought I resized these… why are they so BIG? Stupid photobucket! :stare:
EDIT: There. That’s a little smaller. *grumbles about PB* π

September 13, 2012 at 3:36 pm #886311I love the little contrasting ears on this one. So cute π Very nice!
September 13, 2012 at 5:56 pm #886315Thank you π
September 13, 2012 at 5:58 pm #886273Thanks, all, for your wonderful comments! π
Here’s the other kirin. I’ve named him “Umeshu”. This one was an experiment.
I had a pair of pink eyes and figured that if I didn’t paint something for them, I was never going to use them. LOL. This also gave me a chance to use colors I normally don’t use (pinks/lilac). I still went kinda dark on the fur, but I think it’s a nice contrast.
Also, all the paints are iridescent. I usually use a mix of regular, iridescent, and interference paints, but this guy is all shine and luster, even on the dark colors (the light just has to hit it right).
He has gold and a warm coppery color mixed with lilac and dark purples. I will be putting this guy up for sale soon (I need car repair monies).
EDIT: Up for sale until Sunday. π
January 4, 2013 at 10:20 pm #891106Well, I know it’s been a while, but 2012 seriously kicked my butt! And the beginning of this year is still going to be a little rough. As some of you know, my husband and I are about 99% positive we will be seperating. It’s just a timing thing at the moment with putting the condo on the market. Hopefully, I won’t be too scarce and will be on regularly again. π
These were the last two pieces on my commission list from 2012. A very special thank you goes out to these two members who have been very patient while my life fell apart last year. Also, if you were supposed to be on the list (and your name was lost somewhere in the mayhem), PLEASE LET ME KNOW! XD
Maltese tiger #4 – he’s pretty much done. Just need to check him over and make sure there are no rubs before I seal him. The pic may be a little washed out as I took the pic in front of the window. It was the only light I had to work with. >.<
I’m still working on the wings for this one. He’ll be ready soon. π Sorry, I forgot the eyeballs! LOL

I’m totally gobsmacked and that does not happen EVER!Your Phoenix is very stunning as well and the detailing is so incredible. I love the color palate on it. All my kind of colors.
