Here’s the new phoenix I’m working on. Thinking I will call him Ultraviolet (open to suggests…lol). I still have some finishing touches to add. Ignore the eye… I drew it in. My camera completely died, and I couldn’t take one with the eyes in. doh!
My camera eats purple, so that not really his true colors. He’s more of a redder purple, blending into a more magenta color. He’s a lot richer and more lusterous in person (he’s got a good bit of interference and gold). I likes him. 😀
He’s gorgeous, BD! I’m a sucker for purples and pinks together – it looks awesome 😀 I especially love how the wing tips fade into a peachy color. very nice touch!

oOOOo I love him! I think he looks great as is-I cant imagine how you could improve upon him. He reminds me of the sunsets I used to see as a kid at my grandmother’s house-call him Bayou Sunset 😀

I really do hate taking pictures of PYOs with purple. It never comes out right. I went around the house looking for different kinds of bulbs for my lamp. A 3-way incandescent worked pretty well. These came out really close… except for all the interference colors. I wasn’t about to try to get that perfect too. I need to invest in one of those little photo booth thingies. 😀

The uni is done! Yay, finally!! LOL. But OF COURSE it’s raining and will be for 3 days or so… and inside pics look like crap. Story of my life… I’m sooo buying one of those photo booth thingies. 😆
hmmm… what’s next?? A keeper? A kirin? Maybe both. 😉 😀
