Finally finished! I call this pattern layout strategized randomness. 😆 Stripes on the back giving way to larger irregular spots. Most pics showed king cheetahs with smaller spots behind the “elbows” and around the face and neck. I tried to feather the spots near the belly, flanks, and behind the rump to mimic the longer hair on cheetahs, but I’m not sure it really worked the way I wanted it to.
I blended behind the ears a little, and I really like the way her face turned out… considering I really didn’t know how I was going to make a horse look like a cheetah. I decided to stay with a rather solid mane and tail, as I didn’t want it too busy… but I did add some softer highlights. They just don’t show up well.
There are a total of 29 crystal of varying sizes throughout her mane and tail (ranging from pp5 to pp18 depending on the spot). OMG, it took me HOURS to get all the gems worked out and actually get them into place! >.< I lost a few of them to the carpet abyss, never to be seen or heard from again. LOL
