                Thanks, guys, for the wonderful comments. 🙂

                I was a little nervous myself when I began painting him, but I’m really happy with this one, esp. since the colors are a little loud when placed together.

                Eleu, for dark-colored feathers, I usually just dry-brush the tips. For light feathers, the tips are usually blended. I find the light-colored feathers look a little better that way on the muses. These were blended with red, and then raw umber was blended onto the edges. I used umber instead of black to keep them on the warm side.

                And I’m so glad I’m tempting you guys to paint muses! *evil laugh* They’re in stock, go get one (or two)!! 👿 😆

                  Hot Rod looks great. I think it’s my favorite now. It’s so vibrant and colorful. It feels alive and roaring with energy just like fire. Yay, fire.
