Wish I could do that!!! I think it would be cool to meet other forum members face to face. But I don’t think anyone lives in the middle of the east coast….*sigh*…it’s pretty boring back here.
I am south of New Orleans…no other dragon collectors near me anywhere!
Where are you on the East Coast…I have been to N Carolina and Viginia and would love to visit Chincoteague and see the pony drive.

Even if we combined yours and mine, we still couldn’t do it!!!! π

if you will have a min or two, the offer of coffe, cake and dragon choosing still stands πI so wanted to meet you!! It was a gas issue, though. I only had gas coupons for Germany… dont even think Switzerland takes them… and you were 40 min the other way. If I had the gas, I would have done it. π I did get to see the little dragons you gave GB. Dang those things are cute. They are cute in the pics, but in person, they are adorable. If I thought GB wouldnt notice, I think one would have found its way into my pocket!! π (Kidding GB π ) I really wish I could have met you.
I did get to GBs safe and sound… God bless GPS. Here is how it went:
Girl we had a blast and GBs family is awesome! I love them! Her mothers drawings are incredible π― And they are all over the walls! I saw so many that I wanted to take home with me. GBs collection is awesome, too. I got to see the dragon candle lamp in person and it looks really good. She has so many that they are overflowing the shelves and sitting on the floor. I offered to take some with me… just to give her some space… but she wasnt going for it. π They took me out for pizza that evening and I think I did nothing but talk… too much. Maybe it was nerves, who knows, but they were laughing, so I am assuming they found me amusing. Oh, and as soon as I get there, Rab poops on the floor! Can you believe it!?? I couldnt. “Hi, nice to meet you. My dog pooped on your floor. No, thats customary in the U.S. Never heard of that, hu? Its still catching on…” Dumb dog. He enjoyed himself, though, and so did I. They have the three ponies, none of whom really liked me, and the two dogs. They all got along great. It was fun and we even took a pic! Justin hung out all day in the attic w/her little brother. They are the same age, so it was cool. I drove back this morning and everything went great!
February 17, 2008 at 3:47 pm #666239That’s great! I’m glad you had a good time.
February 17, 2008 at 3:51 pm #666240I’m so jealous!! I wish I could’ve spent the day with you two!!! π

Im just south of Washington DC. I live about 45 minutes away from there. I don’t think that there are any collectors near me…but there’s a dude that lives about half hour north of here that makes dragons outta scrap metal and has them all over his lawn. π
My most wanted list: Peacock kitty wizard, carnelian mouse wizard, copper patina frog wizard, autumn leaf poads, pumpkin spice kitties

February 18, 2008 at 6:56 am #666248Ski! You didn’t talk too much! I loved your stories. (‘Sides, I’m not much of a talker in real life, so it’s nice if the other person has things to say.) It was great to have you over. I’m just sorry you had to leave so soon.
And never mind Rab’s “accident!” Our dogs have done dumber things. I thought it was great you brought him along. He’s a sweet dog.
The hossies didn’t not like you. Arthos just loses interest when he realized he’s not going to get fed, and the pony is a bit fussy when people try to pet her from behind the fence. She’s got zapped often enough.
I’ve still got te pics… I’ll download them tonight and post them. It was great. Thanks agai for coming, Ski. πFebruary 18, 2008 at 8:50 am #666249π I was just teasin about the horsies. I know the way to an animals heart is thru its stomach. The pony was a sweetheart and I can relate to the zapping, though really… cant he see that big yellow sign? π Im glad I didnt talk too much. Sometimes I feel like I cant shut up! π
February 18, 2008 at 1:07 pm #666250The pony’s a mare… And nah, she doesn’t know about big yellow signs. They’re not tasty. π
