Don’t feel too bad, my sister is scared to death of ticks and grandaddy longlegs.
AAACCK!!!! I’m not scared of ticks but I do loath them!!! We get tons of them around here in the summer!
Hee! But do you dance around and wail at someone to ‘get it off!’ instead of picking the tick off yourself?

I do that…
January 10, 2007 at 4:18 am #525008well as far as phobias…I’m afraid I’ll loose my eye-sight or use of my legs and limbs. Kinda hard to be a graphics artist without the use of eyes. 😯
And I have a fear of deep water. I hate large bodies of water. The ocean is nice as long as I’m no more than waist-deep. And I have a mild case of kenophobia-the fear of empty spaces. (mostly rooms in houses or buildings)As far as homeschooling-I’ve noticed there’s another new thread for that and will add my thoughts there. ugh.

That’s right. After I got out of school I still went to music lessons and suchlike. Made a lot of friends there. I socialized quite well.
January 10, 2007 at 2:54 pm #525010I don’t like clowns……at all………I hate them……..even Ronald McDonald! Did I mention I hate clowns? I guess it didn’t help that I watched killer clowns from outer space when I was a child. Maybe thats why I run screaming every time I see one.
January 10, 2007 at 2:55 pm #525011Clown-phobia! Man, what TV can do to brand you for life… 😆
January 10, 2007 at 3:10 pm #525012OMG your not kidding! Did you ever see that movie? If I ever see a clown with a crazy straw I’m headin for the hills.
January 10, 2007 at 3:14 pm #525013No, I never watched Killer Clowns. Your mentioning it was the first time I heard of it. But with a title like that I’m sure it traumatic for a little kid. 😆

Killer Clowns can scar you for life!!! 😯
January 11, 2007 at 12:22 am #525015LOL I saw that one…It was more strangely frightening that someone would think that nasty movie up…Than it was just frightening. I must have watched IT by Stephen King a million times…Best part Tim Curry ever played! 😆
On the other hand, I am afraid of spiders, and Box-Elder bugs. Oh eeech especially the box-elders…But if a spider crawls on me, then look out!! I am liable to knock you over trying to get it off myself. I actually smacked myself hard enough in the head to give myself a headache because someone told me there was on there…I kill them at home with a can of Aqua-net and a Bic lighter. 😈
And heights, but it is funny, I am only scared of oh like step ladders…The ones with 4 legs, not the long 30ft ladders you can lean against something tho. I can handle them. Now how is that for weird?January 11, 2007 at 1:55 am #525016ok, this is probably one of the stranger phobias that you’ll hear about but I have Globophobia…the fear of Balloons. I actually have a panic attack if I’m near them and if someone thinks its funny and comes after me with one I’ll actually become combative just to get away. I also have Social Phobia a.k.a. social anxiety disorder. I have real phobia going places where there are lots of people, or new places. I have to have my “safe” places that I can feel “comfortable” in, like the neighbourhood coffee shop. I’m getting better but its hard to put your phobias behind you.
January 11, 2007 at 2:23 am #525017Hum, I’ve heard of stranger things. Like the fear of chalk, or hair.
January 11, 2007 at 2:51 am #525018well phobias muct not be fun. I have recently seen many scared of germs
