You have good self preservation instincts! Touching stuff like that is supposed to be the best way to pick up germs and catch colds (among other things).
Yeah, I don’t want to get sick and get others sick. I defanetly find those germ wipes very handy when I go shopping.
Falling and snakes.
I’ve decided it’s not the height so much as the falling. Because I’m not really scared in airplanes, but if I’m walking on some ice on the ground, terrified. I can climb way up a ladder if I have something to hold onto, but a two-step stepstool, terrified if there’s nothing to grab. I’ve been working on it and even went to the top of a ruined castle in England where the people below me looked like the size of mice, and I wasn’t scared.
Snakes, worms, centipedes, anything that undulates like that. I can pet snakes now though. I’ve been working on that too. Not worms or centipedes though. *shudders*
I used to be very phobic of spiders, even tiny tiny ones. Then I lived in Phoenix, AZ for almost 4 years and learned what spiders were really all about. I’m not bad now, cause I know we don’t have too many black widows here in NH 🙂 I dont like heights at all. We went to Vegas, to the hotel/casino that is really tall, I can’t rmember the name…It was aweful, we were with friends and family and I was the only one who didn’t want to be there. My husband was mad, it was a scene… 😳
And Ski, I’m right there with you on the food thing. My hubby has to clean the sink & drains…It’s funny, he can’t clean the bathtub drain. The hair grosses him out. My daughter has very long hair, and I were extensions, so it really collects…

I was watching Celebrity poker and the guy who hosts Deal or No Deal was wearing latex gloves. I thought he was a bit paranoid till they pointed out one of the other players wiping his nose then touching the cards! It was funny.

With me it’s not a full blow phobia (yet) but I do freak out. I know some of it came about because I am allergic to spider bites so I go out of my way to avoid them at all costs.

That is funny. Speaking of latex gloves….I sometimes have to wear them at work and I have to handle bio-hazard stuff. I absloutely hate handleing that stuff even tho I have gloves on.

He’s a germaphobe. He never shakes hands on Deal or No Deal, he always taps knuckles instead. He was on The Tonight Show, talking about it one night. I’m always surprised when someone hugs him, and he doesn’t run away. I love Deal or No Deal, by the way. My husband and I always pick cases and pretend that we get whatever is in them when they are opened. Stupid, but fun.

I fear not being able to beat the crap out of something…..Seriously…I have nightmares about it. Where you’re wailing on something or someone and nothing you do seems to hurt it/them? I wake up in cold sweats.
I don’t tend to have nightmares. I do sometimes have kind of freakish dreams though. I’ve had the dream where your teeth are all falling out, which scares the living daylights out of me. (And people keep telling me it’s a metaphor, and I go, “No, I really do worry that my teeth will fall out.”)
My dreams are usually much weirder than that though. I even dreamed about finding a really awesome Windstone in some old store once! Guess I’ve been spending too much time hanging around here. (It was a PYO emperor dragon. I’ve no idea why, but it was.)

I have had dreams where I got my hair cut short. It makes me cry!!
