Glad you enjoyed it. LMAO! XD

I was hoping it didn’t come across TOO harsh, but it really was overkill. For instance, something would happen, the characters would stand around… *dramtic pause, wait for it* …a nice breeze goes by and blows their luscious locks around, and THEN it would cut to the next scene. Really? REALLY!? *gag*

I love a nicely drawn guy just as much as any fangirl, but I have to draw the line somewhere. It just took itself much too seriously in this department. šŸ˜›

Now someone recommend me something good.

I didn’t see it on your list but have you guys seen Fushigi Yugi? It’s one of my favorites, I will try to sum it up if you guys haven’t seen that one. Another series I didn’t see listed is Blue Seed. Just a couple of suggestions šŸ™‚

Got a copy of Howl’s Moving Castle for sale . Never watched . Go to my non Windstone Flea Market thread .

Have to add some anime I have watched and enjoyed .

Star Blazers . I was so addicted to this show when it was on .

Captain Harlock . Another faverite of mine .

Kimba The White Lion . A childhood faverite and Osamu Tzuka created the character . Now here is a review that might drive some Disney fans nuts . But Disney ripped off this series with The Lion King . Kimba lost his father in the same way , had an evil uncle who really looked like Scar in TLK .
Oh there are differances too , but drives me nuts when company’s do that . And it’s my opinion too .
And I love Disney too . Mostly the old stuff like Mickey Mouse , The Old Mill , Skeleton Danse and the old live action movies like Swiss Family Robinson and Mary Poppins .

Osamu Tzuka also created Astro Boy . I never got into that series as a kid .

I think I may have caught an episode or two of Blue Seed on TV some time ago (not to be confused with Blue Gender). I may have to look that one up again. Spice and Wolf may have to go on my cheque list too.

Haha, that WAS an awesome review bayou XD I will be steering clear of that one since that’s one of my pet peeves too – I don’t mind an attractive cast member or 2, but for ALL of them to be hotties and the awkward drooltime pauses.. yeah no thanks!
Sorry I’m a little behind on updating the first post.. I promise I haven’t forgotten about it yet!!

Well, it seems the hubby has chosen the next one; he wants us to watch one together this time. I had bought him Kenichi for his birthday, so that’s what we’ve started on. LMAO… This is such a dude’s anime! Boobs and martial arts, but it’s actually pretty friggin’ funny! After watching Uraboku, I think I need something like this. XD

OMG, Drag0n, you would so enjoy this one! I’ve seen about 20 episodes so far, and it’s utter hilarity! I’m thoroughly enjoying it! I hope the ending doesn’t disappoint.

I’ll definitely review it when we’re done. šŸ™‚

That’s good, because I JUST finished Soul Eater…. I loved this series until the last 10 minutes or so…. I want to slap the crap out of who ever came up with that lame ending >_<

*SPOILER RANT*

Things were going JUST FINE until Asura started whining like a little baby because of bravery. WTH was THAT about?!? Kid was freaking EPIC and even all the other characters were amazing in the final battle and THAT'S what they came up with??? I was highly annoyed… I ranted for like 10 minutes after seeing it. LOL!

Otherwise, for some reason I really loved Crona's character as well. I think he was one of my favorites. Also, what was up with that other name that little demon called Soul? Soul yelled at him NEVER to call him that and then nothing was ever mentioned about it. It never explained the signifigance… like Soul has some past that just got overlooked. That kinda bummed me out… and WTH happened to becoming a Death Scythe? They just sort of FORGOT about that whole plot…

I'm sort of hoping for a second series, but I hope they come up with something better for a climax.

I was hoping (not so much for Soul and Maaka to get together because anime NEVER gives you the satisfaction) but they didn't even have any "awkward sexual moments" really either. Like the two of them would live together and NOTHING would happen… I dunno. They could have done so much more with it. I still enjoyed it… but I just wish they did more you know? It had so much more potential then what it actually delivered.

It’s probably no different than Inuyasha. The manga isn’t done yet for Soul Eater (still on going), so when they come to an end in the anime, it just kinda hits a wall and seems unfinished.

OMG what dragon said! I think I wrote about that very thing in my little review of Soul Eater – I really hated that everything boiled down to “bravery”. *GAG*

Almost anything would have left me feeling more satisfied than that.. it just seemed to me like the writer (or writers) couldn’t come up with anything better ><

But.. Excalibur made everything worth it. God I love him.

While the hubby and I are watching Kenichi together, I needed something to watch while he worked nights. After Uraboku, I decided I wanted a little supernatural redemption. I did a search on Anime News Network, and this one had a pretty good rating so I thought Iā€™d give it a shot (I actually went through this one pretty quickā€¦ LOL).

Title: Vampire Knight / Vampire Knight Guilty
<img src="http://static.zoovy.com/img/gkworld/W361-H500-Bffffff/5/5370ge.jpg"

Synopsis: (taken from Anime News Network) Yuki’s earliest memory is of a stormy night in winter, wherein she was attacked by a vampire… And then rescued by another. Now 10 years later, Yuki Cross, the adopted daughter of the headmaster of Cross Academy, has grown up and become a guardian of the vampire race, protecting her savior, Kaname, from discovery as he leads a group of vampires at the elite boarding school. But also at her side is Zero Kiryu, a childhood friend whoā€™s hatred for the creatures that destroyed everything he held dear, is now determined never to trust them. This coexisting arrangement seems all well and good, but have the vampires truly renounced their murderous ways, or is there a darker truth behind their actions. Is Kaname’s infatuation with Yuki the beginning of a forbidden romance, or is it something in her forgotten past that draws him to her. Because in this world of secrets, nothing is as it seems. And the price of misplaced trust may even be worse than death.

Star Rating:

Review: Yeah for deceitful and manipulative vampires with their own agenda! At first, I was afraid this was strictly going to be a love story where Yuuki was going to have to choose to between two guys. And while she does have to make a choice at the end, there are some, umā€¦ interesting complications involved. Thereā€™s also a darker storyline looming in the background that starts to rear its ugly head as the series progresses ā€“ a nice little conspiracy that drags in many of the characters. There were a couple clichĆ©s in the series, but the mystery kept me really engaged to where I didnā€™t really notice (or should I say care). There were a couple of times where I would sit and watch 4 – 5 episodes in a row (pffftā€¦ who needs to do housework and cook when you can order take-out and veg in front of the TVā€¦ LOL).

I want to take a moment to discuss the dreamy guy factor. While it irritated me in Uraboku, I found it wasnā€™t anywhere near as bad in this seriesā€¦ mostly due to how it was presented. Uraboku took itself much too seriously. This was funny! It was like OHSHC meets Twilight. lmao! They poke funā€¦such as in the Valentineā€™s Day episode where the Night Class students have to stand at their respective gates to accept their chocolate from the Day Class (whether they want to or not). Aidou was definitely my favorite character, instigating trouble, especially for Yuki (see the last clip).

I really liked the animation for this one (soft, muted colors). It has some likeable characters, and I liked the interaction/connection between the twins. There was also a moment towards the end of the second season concerning Yuki that completely blind-sided me. It was one of those ā€œI sooo didnā€™t see that comingā€ moments. But then, I can be pretty oblivious. I know this all sounds pretty vague, but itā€™s so hard for me to write a decent review for this one because there are so many spoilers. XD

I gave it a pretty high rating. I guess whether it deserves it or not is up for debate. Maybe Iā€™m just really happy that it wasnā€™t truly awful for a vampire series. When it was all said and done, I actually really enjoyed this one. Iā€™m adding it to my collection. šŸ™‚

Warnings and Praises: There are some pretty serious moments, but it does have a little bit of humor. Thereā€™s some blood and violence, but itā€™s not bad. And while it did have a decent ending, it kind of eludes that there is more to the story. Iā€™m guessing the manga continues into another story arc or something.

Some funny moments (ignore the first 15 seconds)
